These pics were taken yesterday. The necrosis is slooooowly healing. Pieces of the scab have come off...its hard and thick. I'll be se glad when it's gone. But seeing what's underneath is kind of gross! :( I've been putting vitamin E oil on the incision line per my doc. Leaving the necrosis area dry with gauze over it under my spanx. Once the scab comes off totally he's having me use Manuka Doctor Bio Active Honey.

Hi there, I have followed your story and was wondering how you're feeling and healing?

It's been busy with holidays! I'm sore more from the muscle repair than anything. Still swollen. Necrosis is healing....slowly. My doc wants me to keep it dry with nothing on it but gauze and my spanx. I'm looking forward to feeling like myself someday soon.
I texted my doc a couple of times with some questions but haven't heard back, he's usually quick to respond. There seems to be some bruising under my incision and below the wound...posting pics.

hope you’re feeling better .

besides the complication are you happy with the results? would you do it again ?

I am super happy with the results. With the complications I think I lost sight of why I did it all in the first place. I tried one of my bikinis on the other day and it looks great. Would I do it again?? I honestly don't know and something I'm still trying to decide.

Hope you are doing well. It sucks about the necrosis, that’s one of my biggest fears :(

Thank you for the well wishes! I don't know how I missed the fact that necrosis was a potential complication in my research. Trust me when I say, I had my "freak out" and some good cries. It is what it is at this point and I've surrendered to the process. That feeling might change as the wound is supposed to get worse before it gets better. Trying to hang in there. Sending you good vibes for your upcoming journey!

Thank you! I wish you a speedy recovery. Your waist is looking small and your belly button is looking cute :) so thats a good thing :)

So sorry that you're experiencing a complication. If it makes you feel any better, I've read a million people's "before" and "afters" and even those with severe necrosis seem to heal up beautifully. But I'm sure that doesn't make it any more fun to deal with at the time. :( Definitely do everything you can in terms of diet to help your body heal. My surgeon told me eating up to 100g of protein a day can help as your tissues need so much to regrow. Are you taking any supplements? If not, you might consider a high quality multi-vitamin and high does vit C, which can both help with tissues too (with your surgeon's approval, of course). Best of luck!

I've seen horror necrosis on here, thankfully yours seems pretty small (compared to aforementioned ones) and healing nicely. I think it will heal up beautifully too. If you did choose to get a revision, is Dr. Gorin covering that, or partially covering it?
December 16, 2017
I think those I read the same horror stories because I was scared to death!! As you mentioned mine is small comparatively and I feel confident in my doctors treatment plan! He has been amazing checking on me and having me sends pics to him. Dr. Gorin is graciously covering the entire revision if needed!! Amazing right??! Hoping at worst it would be just a simple office procedure to correct! Thank you for the words of encouragement!

That's awesome! So glad he stayed in touch and that he will cover the revision! He is who I have lined up to be my surgeon, so I love seeing reviews about him and his work.
Glad you're feeling confident in everything, just takes time but you will get there!
