46 Year Old Male Tummy Tuck

I have always had a muffin top. Even as a child. It never seemed to matter how much I exercised or how I ate. Now that I'm in my late 40's the muffin top was getting more and more difficult to manage. Clothes never fit right and I was never comfortable wearing any type of pants.
I have been wanting to have a tummy tuck for years and I felt that if I didn't do it by the age of 50, I never would. I am now 2 weeks post surgery and my regret is not having done this sooner.
While the recovery is no joke and has been a little rough, I am feeling better every day. I had a full Tummy Tuck with Lipo on the stomach and flanks. Dr. Delgado, is amazing. His staff is wonderful and I felt very cared for. They do suggest taking two weeks off of work. I work from home and started back after 1 week. In retrospect, I still could have used that second week off. So, take the full two weeks to rest and heal.
Now, I can't wait to have my eyes and chin done!

I'm so glad you decided to share your journey, your muffin top looks gone to me—yay!! You look amazing, very fit. Aside from more time off work, what other tips do you have for anyone considering this surgery?

Thanks for your review. How are your incisions healing now that its been a couple weeks?

Healing is going well and I’m feeling back to normal. My energy is pretty much back to where it was. I’m looking forward to hitting the gym next week. Easing back carefully of course.

Good afternoon,
Congrats on the great job done - looks good. Looking to find a great doctor to repair my diastatis recti/ab muscles. Can you post or send any photos of what the scar looks like? What was total recovery time before you could exercise hard or go to the gym (if you do)?
Thank you!
