The first couple day were rough. Pain much better after the first night but lots of swelling and bruising as expected.
Have to wash Garment and binder daily but at least the bleeding from the incision is has stopped. Feeling much better the most difficult part is getting in and out of bed or up and down from sitting to standing. Have only been taking the pain pills at night because it is hard to get comfortable and sleep Can’t wait for my post op appointment on Friday so I can get a new garment that will look smoother under clothes. Having to wash and dry the binder I have now is getting annoying because I have to wait 90 minutes every day for the laundry before I can get dressed and do anything and it looks very lumpy under clothes so I haven’t really been able to leave my house except for a few errands because I don’t have nothing to wear. I am making sure I am doing a lot of walking at home and light housework I still managed to get 9000 steps one day! I have to go back to work next Tuesday and I can’t wait to see what I am able to wear to work.

The staff was very caring. Had my pre-op on 7/27/18 and surgery was 8/10/18. The surgery started at about 2pm & ended at about 5. I got 4 areas done: upper abs, lower abs, waist and back & bra rolls. Although I did extensive research and read many reviews, I was suprised by the amount of pain during the procedure. I understood this to be a procedure with pain controlled by 1 Xanax and 1 hydrocodone and injected tumescent (numbing) fluid. I was unprepared for the amount of overwhelming pain I felt to the point of tears & shaking. Dr. Muecke was very comforting and told me what she was doing every step of the way and the nursing staff was calming also by holding my hand and rubbing my head. My favorite music played in the background & I sung as the pain would be unbearable.
At about 5, when the procedure was over, I was walked to a room and fitted with a fitted garment with hook & eye closure in the front on top, and a Velcro waist binder covering below my bust to my pubic area which I was told to wear for 23 hours a day only taken off to be laundered daily. My painkiller was wearing off (they gave it to me at noon) on the 45 minute car ride home, so I took another pill as soon as I got home. After about n hour, the pain did not subside. I changed the maxi pads that were taped to my body to soak up the blood & fluids draining from the pinhole incisions. I ate some dinner bf the pain was still on 10, so I took another painkiller. I ended up frustrated and I tears, overwhelmed by pain, not being able to find comfort from sitting or laying, I just stood and cried. I didn’t expect this. I finally dozed off sitting up on the couch. After about an hour, I decided to get up and get ready for bed. We changed the pads again and I got sick and threw up my dinner and probably other meds. I went to bed after taking a anti-nausea pill and another painkiller. I woke up at night and took painkillers at 3 & 7am.
