Almost 6 weeks post op

I have my post op appointment Tuesday. I have several questions, as now that I’m more or less able to do all my regular exercises and have been wearing my compression garment for almost two weeks - I think it’s somewhat settled.
I feel disappointed that there is no change in my upper abs under my rib cage. Supposedly they took fat from there but my measurements at that part of my body are the same as before surgery.
I have been doing lymphatic massage and self massage, however I have a small dent below my belly button, and my right flank has a little more of a “roll”.
I still have a big dent in my right back that really concerns me. It is not responding to massage.
I also swell up an inch or more some days and it can be difficult to see much difference.
On a good day my lower belly is 2.5 inches smaller and my waist is about half inch smaller. My upper abs are not.
I am happy that there is some shape now on my flanks, but i worry that from my ribs to my belly button it rounds outward still, which causes me to wonder if more fat could have been removed.

Getting back to normal

Slightly more than two weeks post op. I’m able to twist more without shooting pain and the extreme swelling of last weekend has gone. I started professional lymphatic massage this week and it has helped so much. I’m continuing to do twice daily self massage and eating a very low carb diet. I’m able to sleep without the compression garment now and that makes a HUGE difference in how I feel. My energy level feels really good and the lumps and dents are minimal. I plan on doing yoga this week in addition to walking with the hope than after another week I’ll be able to go back to the gym.

I’m pretty happy with how it looks so far. I wish my upper belly and abs were a little smaller because it looks like my lower belly is flatter. I also have a line under my lower belly between my sutures that I wonder if is here to stay. Regardless, it’s much better at 2 weeks than I had expected.

Sore swollen and concerned

Tomorrow is my first day back at work. I’m feeling tired easily still and the past two days I’ve been so swollen I resemble my pre-op state. I’m doing massages and have been trying to schedule a lymphatic massage. I’m doing my walking and low carb low sodium thing. Yesterday I was so swollen I got out of breath and my stomachs over my left ovary was swollen bigger than the other side. There some small bumps but now there are some dents and misshapen parts that I’m worried massaging isn’t gonna work. I’ll be trying to drink even more water and do more massaging this week and hopefully see a professional.
