I'm a critical care RN. I have been researching...
WORTH IT
I'm a critical care RN. I have been researching plastic surgery and physicians for 10 years. From the time I saw Dr Perlman on extreme makeover (he was on the first show series) I could tell he was a special person, a genuine person, and from what I saw he was very skilled. Compared with the other surgeons, he had the best aesthetic eye and results. I went to consult with him 3 times over the last 10 years. I looked forward to seeing him every time. When turned 50, I was ready to take action. I live on the other side of the country now, so I continued to research other physicians. I never found anyone I trusted 110% like I trust Dr Perlman. I was scared because I wanted to look like myself but without the flaws. I am only 2 weeks out and I am so pleased with the results. The incisions are barely visible already. He has a dream team on his surgical staff. He always does the work himself. But his Anesthetist, circulating nurse, and first assistant are so experienced, amazing at what they do and have worked with him for decades. As an RN, I know how important that is. I traveled across the country because Dr Perlman is the only Dr I trust. He did exactly what I asked for, answered all of my questions over and over again (lol), and has a nice sense of humor, professionalism, and humility. His credentials are impressive and he is well respected in the professional and local community. Look on his website to read about his credentials. Board certified but much more.
So if you are wondering with whom to do your surgery, you can stop researching and wondering because this is your best option. Some other plastic surgeons advertise because they are trying to make a name for themselves. He doesn't have to do that. There are a few other surgeons that are on par with Dr Perlman, but they charge $5000 for a consultation and double their fees. Dr Perlman is very fair with his prices. I don't remember how much i paid for my original consultation, it was a couple hundred maybe? It was so long ago. But the subsequent consultations he didn't charge for. I'm 50 and I think I'm going to look 35ish for a long time! If I was brave enough, I would show you my results but it's hard to put your face on a website. And no, I don't work for him!! In case you are wondering! He has great results with nose jobs too from what I've seen. What else can I say? I am VERY happy that I did this.

Hello I am so glad you love your results, I am also looking to have a brow/neck/face lift but I live on the East coast, can you tell me after your research who could you compare dr. Jon Pearlman to in NY/NJ? How much did the surgery cost you? What type of browlift did you have? I would like the trichophytic because I have a high forehead. Thank you and I hope you had a great recovery.
I had the browlift infront of the hairline and the scar is already almost undetectable, its been 9 weeks. He bevels it. I was most nervous about that and it came out perfect. I dont know anyone comparable in ny/nj. But there was one in Miami that came highly recommended by a contact. Dr Wolf Miami Plastic Surgery. Ellen is in the office. 305 785 8479. I almost went to him because i had a place to stay in FL but i had never met him. When it came down to it, there was no one else i felt i could trust or really knew besides dr Perlman so i paid the extra money to stay in a hotel there for 10 days. That was very expensive. I stayed at the travel inn santa monica for the weekly rate. It was clean with kitchen and the cheapest closest option at about 180 a night. I ubered it to the dr appointments. Theres a trader joes next door. I couldnt have done it alone so make sure you have someone with you. Almost impossible to bathe and wash hair first few days. Dr Perlman charged me under 20k for neck mid face brow and fat grafting. I am on a tight budget and im pretty sure he accomodated that. I also was an uncomplicated case with not much to change as far as loose skin or facial sagging. So im not sure of the cost for everyone. But i can tell you for his skill and credentials he is more than fair. I wish i could give you a recommendation for the tri state area. Im sure they exist but as you know, its nust about impossible to get anyone to admit to plastic surgery let alone recommend theirs ;). If you have more questions just ask.
Ps they require that you stay one night in their surgical post op facility called Serenity and it costs $875 for that night. After staying there i realized why it was necessary. It would have been impossible for me or my BF to do the initial post op care and cleaning. The doc also came there in the AM for surgical post op exam and care before i left. They bring you directly there after your surgery. Even though the cross country trip added many extra costs, i would not change the choice because of the result and level of care.
I sent you a private message, Thank you so much for responding, I forgot a question, Did you have drains after your facelift and how long did you keep them? or no drain?
No drains. He uses a surgical glue inside the site.
