I am writing this review because I have not seen any information or experience written by a single woman who is traveling by herself. We are all aware that couples have it easier since you get treated differently since there is another person there for support. I choose CDC after going back and forth with several clinics and just got overwhelmed with all of the different quotes. Some were so cheap that I raised an eyebrow and some were as high as in the US for the All on 4 or 6 implants for upper and lower.
A little about myself, I am a single hard-working mother who works in the health care field and does a lot of teaching engagements. I am in my early 40ies and went through a traumatic experience that causes my teeth loss in the upper. A year ago my dentist suggested to get implants and because I wanted to get back a nice Hollywood smile that I had in the past he convinced me to remove all lower so both arches will match and I can actually go back with the shape of teeth that I had previously before my accident. Well just like a lot of us, I trusted his suggestion and he gave me a small ballpark on the cost. Sure enough after the removal and four months later, I received a quote that was just not what we had previously discussed. I was devasted, started going into depression, and researched for a long time to find a solution that would fit my budget. I looked in the US and Costa Rica first. Then decided to go with Cancun since I need a break and looking at the ocean would do me some good right now. Working in health care is hard and I also have been working two jobs at times for the last three years just to save up for implants.
I decided on Cancun Dental Specialist because of the background and the reviews. Right now my rating is a middle range because I am confused since I got two different staff members that reached out to me as pick up at the airport and I am scared as hell since I don't know who is the right person I am supposed to get in the car with. I am a single woman traveling so it is not simply just to jump in a man car that I can not even verify if they work at the clinic. Today it is Sunday and I am flying out Wednesday at 6 am. I will update this review as time goes and will be as honest as possible. I asked to get more information as far as who is going to do my procedure and if they can send me something in writing to keep the cost under $20000. I have not heard back and therefore made a plan B just to be safe. I will ask them to record a video while I get the procedure done so I can maybe help other people who are traveling solo to have a better idea of what experience I had in Cancun. Wish me luck and stay tuned for updates.

First I’ll like to say, I pray you have a safe and successful experience and Good Luck on your journey. I hope you keep us updated. I have an appointment with them December 13th and I will love to know follow your journey. My coordinator is easily accessible and responds right away with any question via whatsapp. Which put my mind at ease a bit. I feel as if I made the right choice choosing CDC so far.

1 day pre

Called Cancun Dental Specialist office

Ricanlady2020
Called them today and told them that I would prefer to get more detailed information and they assured me that I will get a call back this afternoon and more information via email. So let's hope everything goes well. I am slowly getting nervous and I am not sure if I did the right thing with booking an all-inclusive hotel when I can probably not eat afterward.

Sooooo nice; I can’t wait until my appointment in 2wks! Your smile look so natural and nice. How many days did it take to complete the look? Was it painful? Just asking so I can have a little insight of what to expect. Also do you have before pictures?
November 29, 2020
No they give you pain killers so after placing the implants I just slept the first day but the second day I was able to walk around. It too 4 days to get to this stage and now waiting six months to get my permanent ones. I will email you before pics if you like just send me your email address to inluvwithsfcj@yahoo.com
