Who's taking my calls

I am learning that through correspondence & telephone 800, my contact doesn't go to the office or their medical personnel. It's a processing team.
When I originally considered the All in 4, I saw a local oral surgeon. He had a wonderful assistant who would be my liaison person. He's side by side with the doctor. So when I called the Cancun doctor, my mind told me it was the same type of setup. I became very friendly with my contact person thinking this was going to be the one who would be walking through the surgery & recovery with me. He was very friendly, selling me on the absolute wonders of this procedure, it's simplicity & my results. I never heard from him again once I was in Cancun. I received a call after a week of being home of the patient care person assigned to me. She sent me a email, I returned one stating what I needed. I didn't receive the complete records I needed so I'm emailing every day to receive nothing which I can only assume I'm being ignored. I've told her I'm very unhappy but this hasn't caused any contact from the dental office. I called the 800 to see if I could get my records. It went to the call center. I know this because I could hear everyone talking in the background. He took my name & said he'd get me the records in a few hours.
So if you're considering a outside the USA, consider this, you may not be dealing with Real on site office or medical personnel. if you're having problems, you may not get the treatment you expect as in America.
What everyone needs to know is that outside America, medical practice & office are very different & what we expect or are use to we may not get. They don't have the privacy laws we have here either. Example, in Cancun, the office gave my cell number to a stranger. A man who is a patient & asked for my name & number. I was stunned when I received his text! I was alone in Cancun & he knew where I was staying.
When I asked the next day if my number was given, the young girl in her innocence said she did it.
More things to consider if thinking about going out of America. We have laws, our doctors have to charge a lot because of liabilities. It's a different world in other countries, including ours.

Week 7

So far my numb chin & lip has gotten better but for some reason my chin now has a huge sore on the exact place the numbness was the worse. My gums are still sensitive in some areas with some sharp boney areas sticking out making it sore to rub with the teeth.
The top denture or prosthetic doesn't fit right so it jiggles around if I don't hold it with my tongue. I cannot eat with it in at least because it moves & pops out of the mini implant. They make my gums ache & have to take them out a lot.

The bottoms are junk. They are so cut up from the girl trying to make them comfortable because of my extreme swelling, I guess. I'm not familiar with what they should look like so I didn't know. The back won't snap on & moves around, catches the side of my mouth & cuts it. I guess I need to pay for another one to be made.

Knowing now what I had done is probably not called a All in 4 from what one doctor told me in one of my questions, I'm not sure now if anything was done correctly. I have no teeth to eat with & no bottom teeth to smile with. I look 20 years older & this makes me stay home all the time.
I can feel my implants up next to my nostril. It's tender to press it. Not sure if this is normal or what. I was told by looking at the picture of my X-ray, it looks like they put a few in my sinuses, so I'm a bit concerned. The bottom front mini implant feels like plastic is coming out of it. I pull something off all day because my tongue is always playing with it. Did they have plastic cover in the mini implant & put it in my gums?

When I had this surgery, I was dropped of at my hotel afterwards, this was a Saturday. I was alone, didn't have anyone from the clinic check on me. When I saw them on Monday, it was then I was given instructions of things to do & not do. Don't sleep laying flat, ice instructions & mouthwash. (Fortunately, I don't sleep flat, I brought salt to make salt water to rinse my mouth.)
I returned home, I didn't get any instructions as to care of the dentures, when to wear them or not. All I knew was to use the mouthwash. I did receive a call about a week after I was home. I've asked for my records because I was told I'd get them before I left. They sent me the X-ray I already had. I want to know what they did in surgery, what implants & size they used. I know what I was told before by the coordinator but I need to see what the records say.

I don't know if it's just me & I'm having a bad experience or if this is a bad experience that's happened to me.

Cancun

Although my experience during my All in 4 surgery in Cancun & days to follow was VERY unpleasant & will give my final opinion after I've been healing & gotten other opinions because of the unknowns to me, I do need to give props to the doctor & office in Cancun. I wasn't a easy patient!! I needed a hotel on day one due to another complicated matter. While I was being treated they were finding me places to stay. Then I had to extend the stay which meant rooms on a weekend. I did a lot of hotel hopping, I did stay at one place I wouldn't recommend but the others were great. For this I'm grateful they took good care of me. The staff is such sweet girls, I wanted to bring a few home with me, just adored them. :)
