In love with my teeth! Absolutely worth every penny. I wish I wasn’t still paying them off but again they were worth it. My advice....
-Finance if you can for the lowest rate possible.
-Invest in a WATERPIK! It’s a life saver.
-Brush your teeth!!! Just because you bought them doesn’t mean you don’t have to take care of them. Plaque and food will still get built up in the little creases and people can tell if you haven’t brushed.
-Will you be excited to chew for hours on a juicy steak or bite into a big red apple?? Yes! But I would skip that if I were you. Much like your gramma says “just because you CAN do it doesn’t mean you SHOULD.” I only say this because just like everything else, if treated poorly they will become dull and of course there’s a possibility of chipping over time so if you can prolong it, why not? Just remind yourself how much money you spent and trust me, you won’t mind taking 5 seconds to quarter up and apple and THEN eat it. Same great tase, same great smile.
I have the newest version of Dr.Golpas teeth in my mouth and again, they’re amazing. The staff is amazing too! I only went back for 1 follow up thus far and it was a breeze. They mentioned they are opening or working with some dentists in California for those people who just need the checkups or cleanings that have already received the procedure which is great so I don’t have to travel out of state every cleaning.
One last thing. They will ask you what color/shade you want. DONT pick white/white! It’s looks crazy! YOU WILL LOOK CRAZY! Everyone will know they’re fake and that defeats the purpose! I can’t tell you how many people have stopped me at work, the grocery store, even on the street to tell me how beautiful my smile is. Everyone thinks I was born with these! That’s how incredibly natural they look with the right shaping and shading.
Good luck to you in whatever situation you’re in. Finance, budget, find a way to save a little money here and there cause you only live once. You deserve a great smile.

Day 9 Check in, Not too shabby
I woke up this morning and my first thought wasn’t “oh my goodness sad face” but “oh my goodness happy face.” My pain had gone from 8 to a 5 overnight. Usually, I’m worried to sleep cause it seemed like every time I woke up my face and pain level was getting worse but for some reason today I only woke up in discomfort. I guess it’s true, time heals all wounds. Lol. Anyway, the swelling in my face has gone down significantly. I still take IBP about every 6hours or so depending on the level of pain and discomfort. I only take the other pain med if I REALLY need to AND if it’s late at night AND if the kids are asleep AND if I know my day is over and I don’t have to drive or operate heavy machinery. Lol.
The bruising above and under my lip are almost gone but the one under my chin is taking it’s sweet time clearing up and although the visible swelling is mostly gone the discomfort is still around both sides of my nose, leading down over the front and sides of my mouth. My jaw gets extremely tired and heavy by 7pm from talking all day at work. I look forward to sitting in quiet after 8pm. It’s what I call my new happy hour before I go to sleep. I sip on really cold ice water and it feels great!!!

Thank you so much for posting after pictures!!!!! Your smile is seriously BEAUTIFUL!!! I cannot believe the difference. Did you opt for a higher quality material for the teeth? They look no different from real teeth!

Ama169 Thanks! And No, I didn't opted for higher quality material. He automatically gives you the highest quality available. As I said in my post, people actually think they're real. I chose a very natural shade and I let them know what "look" I was going for. In fact, while I was there, there was an assistant and I pointed at her saying "Her! I want teeth like hers!" She said "these are my real teeth!" Lol! We sat and laughed about it for a while but basically that's how natural I wanted mine to appear and the dentist definitely captured my thoughts exactly.

Wow that’s AMAZING!! This gives me so much hope for the future if I get this procedure done. Your teeth look absolutely stunning!

I just had the procedure done March 19th. So today will be 6 days. I am in Humble Texas which is where I had my procedure done. My face is still swollen and my top lip on the right side seems lazy ( if that makes sense). My temp teeth feel very big in the back and when I talk the seem to hit each other. My pain level is pretty low I think it’s more soreness than pain. Oh and my chin and bottom lip is still numb. I was wondering if you or anyone has had theses issues and will it get better? I feel like my smile is worse than before, I have teeth but my smile doesn’t make me want to smile. :(

Hi Liz! Did you get your teeth done at his TX office or did you get them done by another DDS and facility altogether? And when you say TEMP teeth do you mean you still have the Temp in and they didn't secure your permanents yet? Or are you talking about your actual finished teeth?
March 24, 2020
No it was a different dentist and facility. Yes I won’t get my perms until like 6 months they said.

Ok that's what I thought because Dr.Golpa does the whole thing in 1-2 days which IS BEST. You might have a temp in for the night but that's it. If someone pulls all your teeth out all you have left are gums and posts so you don't want your temps in for a long time especially if they are ill fitting. I'm NOT a DDS and I Do Not work in the dental industry but I am a nurse in a regular hospital facility and if someone told me that the are experiencing numb or dullness in a certain part of their lips/face at day 6 that sounds like that is a nerve issue. As in it's possible the place you went to hit a nerve they weren't suppose to which by the way is quite easy to do in your mouth if the dds or facility isn't experienced enough. I'm so sorry to hear this. Normally when they implant new teeth it will take about 6 months to get use to speaking again normally and your mouth in general to adjust to a full mouth of teeth but they should still feel natural. NOT bigger in the back or on the side. Before you leave the office you should be fitted as close to correct as possible. If your temps are in for 6 months your mouth will try to adjust to them and if they aren't at least semi comfortable NOW your future isn't looking good. The nerve issue alone is worth going back for. The swelling will happen regardless. That part always goes away. If I were you I would go back to get fitted properly.

Can the nerve be fixed?!? I am supposed to go back this week.

Private message me. I know it's like Russian roulette trying to find the right doctor and facility to help. I'm so thankful for RealSelf. I have had 2 different procedures done (on my body) with the help of this online community and references. We are here for you! Talk to you soon 3>

Good Morning to anyone else awake at 2am.
Yesterday was my first day back to work. I would give it a 5 out of 10. Moments after I woke, I felt more swelling and pain than before. Thankfully, I was mentally and cosmetically prepared for this day to come. I currently have visible purple bruising under my chin and around my outer lips (which is why I bought that lighter shade of foundation from the MAC counter days before surgery) and I’m finishing out my antibiotics soon (yay!). I took an IBP to carry me through at least 4-6 hours of my shift as well. In the morning, I practiced saying similar phrases I use throughout the day. By the time I got there I was able to say most things without a lisp and as for any other phrases...well I basically just sound like I use to have braces and now I have a retainer in. I’m learning to speak slower so I can pronunciate clearly but not too slow to accidentally offend someone. I drank a protein shake for breakfast and had a baked potato with a side of avocado for lunch. I drink water with everything normally so I continued that and afterwards I use the restroom to swish with mouthwash or warm water. Towards the end of my shift my jaw was too tired to do much else. I was really happy to get home and just sit quietly with my best friend “freezer packs”. Once home, I took some pain management, grabbed my cold packs and snuggled up with an I Love Lucy marathon until just right now.

Congrats!
I'm glad you're as happy as you are.
You're 100% correct on the color. I had my procedure in 2013, and upgraded to the Zarconia upper bridge a few years later.
You make a few excellent points, but one really stood out.
I had allowed them to choose my shade, and they went far too white. Most people won't say anything, but I have had a few people say, or implied my teeth were fake.
I'm color blind, and don't see shades all that well. However, when I look at myself in pictures, they do look fake.
When I upgraded to Zarconia, I was told they are not only the strongest, but look the most realistic.
Dr Golpa did say he would see what he can do the next time I see him.
I really hope he can work his magic.
I'm happy you're happy, and you described your experience, and how to maintain them perfectly!
Congrats!
