Wow. I woke up this morning, took off my faja to take a shower and was so pleasantly surprised with how much my swelling has gone down. I was like wow. My belly button is healing well. My incision is healing well also. I switched to a less restrictive faja. The one I was wearing was very tight, I had to tone it down a bit. Maybe that helped. I’m also eating very little salt and drinking a lot of water.

Wow what a difference! That’s what I’m dealing with swelling at the lower part of my belly and wearing a too tight compression garment.

My masseuse told me that fluid will gather above the incision because it can’t pass to the lymph nodes in the groin yet. Once the incision is healed, the fluid will drain down to the lymph nodes. Just keep massaging the area in the meantime. I figured that too tight garment doesn’t work for me. My doctor said your garment doesn’t have to be super tight.

Okay definitely will take your advice. Having the binder or faja so tight actually set me back a bit. Question I have to literally make a schedule to drink at least 64oz so How much water do you drink daily?

Honestly, not that much sometimes, but I try to get at least 40oz. (5 cups) everyday. How far along are you? I can’t view your profile.

Here are the 3 week PO pictures. I added the before picture to put things into perspective. I like for people to see where I started. I also wanted to add that I started getting massages day 4. They really help a lot with the swelling and draining.

You look so good! Thanks for posting the "before" pic, too: really shows the differences. Thanks for saying day 4, as the start of the massages. I was wondering when they might begin.

Hello! I’ve been so busy lately. I feel good, except for the tightness in the abdomen and the soreness where I did lipo. I’m walking up straight, I’m out and about, doing daily chores and will go back to work in a few days. I’m sleeping better. Wearing the faja is annoying. I’m trying to find the best way to not leave indentations on my skin, even with the lipo foam. I went to a wedding last weekend. I was out of my faja for a while. I got swollen and needed to massage the fluid out. Other than that, I’m getting better everyday. A lot of the swelling has gone down. The picture is right after I took my garments off, so there is a little mark from that.
