This is my first post on this website. I had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. G on Thursday (today is Saturday), and I'm feeling good. I had a terrible experience getting rhinoplasty in Bangkok, Thailand, so I'm hoping Dr. G was able to correct what the other dr did and make my nose look normal. So far, I've got some swelling and bruising around eyes and my nose is both oozing and congested. Normal?
My experience with Dr. G was very positive. I was extremely nervous prior to surgery but I realize now that I shouldn't have been so nervous. I was in good hands.
Anyone else in LA right now recovering?
I get my cast off on Wednesday, so until then I can't do a whole lot.

I had a revision with him on the 26 th. I still have bruises and I'm hoping some of what I see is still swelling. I'm concerned with the size of my nostrils right now. They look ok but seem/feels like I can't breathe out of them. Hoping it's all internal swelling and that it opens up soon. That was a really important part of doing s a revision. Do you have before pics too? Happy Healing! If you like coffee try the Urth Cafe on Melrose Ave in West Hollywood. Great desserts and coffee! That's all we ordered:)

My sister had bruises that lasted a couple of weeks after her surgery too. so it'll probably go away. Did Dr, G reduce the size of your nostrils? My sister had to sleep upright for nearly a month postop and had a lot of dry blood and stuff causing her to be congested for a while. She used a nasal rinse twice a day and it seemed to do the trick.
Yesterday I couldn't breath through my nostrils at all but im able to today woohoo! I will post some before pics soon, Dr, G had his hands full with my nose because I had my primary with an inexperienced doctor in Thailand. Love coffee and thanks for the recommendation! I will check out. West Hollywood is my favourite neighborhood.

you look pretty :) I am in the same boat. My primary didn't yield the greatest of results, and now I am currently researching rhinoplasty revision specialists. You new nose looks amazing :)

You look so beautiful! Your nose fits your face perfectly <3 Did he use any grafts?

Thank you :) I was lucky that I didn’t have to have any grafts. It’s been just over a year and I’m still so happy with my choice to go through Dr. G

Discomfort from being so congested but not…

Discomfort from being so congested but not much pain. I've taken a picture each day to help others see how my face has changed throughout recovery. The best advice I can give to everyone is to keep eating, take lots of rest, and ice. It's day 4 today and I'm feeling really tired. I didn't get much sleep because it was difficult to sleep without being able to breath through my nose :( today I'm really tired and my eyes feel more swollen than the first few days.

There are many bandages no wonder it's hard to breathe and sleep! Do you know what he had to do as far as remove grafts, break bridge, etc? I am deciding who to go to for my revision. Dr. G said I have a tip graft that would have to be removed, nose deprojected, and nostrils shortened. He is super expensive so I am following his revision patients to make sure it is worth it. Thank you for posting your review and good luck with your recovery. I hope it turns out to your liking.

Love your results!! So pretty! Thank you for sharing your story. I need a revision...and hope!! A botched primary is hard to live through. I pray for a successful revision.

Thank you :) I lived with a botched primary for 10 years before I was able to correct it, but if I had known how life changing this surgery could be, I'd have had it many years ago. The one thing that I learned when I had my primary was that people still saw my inner beauty despite looking at an ugly nose. Obviously I also learned that a good surgeon costs top dollar, but he or she is so expensive for a reason. Don't ever bargain for a better price when your fixing the middle of your face. I wish you all the best with however you choose to deal with your nose. you're not alone!

Thank you. Reading the successful reviews (and seeing pics) gives me the hope I need. And it's good to not feel alone. This is the toughest thing I've ever lived through (and I've beat cancer twice!). I'm not giving up. I'm just researching a lot more carefully than I did with my primary. Enjoy your new nose and hopefully one day I'll be back with a similar story!!

PS love your comment re inner beauty...;)
So good to remember (but hard to) do when your looks were destroyed.

You look beautiful, I also love your comment about people seeing your inner beauty. I'm glad you finally get to feel happy and relieved about your nose!

It's day 5! I had a pretty good sleep last night because I could breath through my nose :) woohoo. Downfall of using nose to breath is that now it feels like I've got shards of glass inside from all the dry crap that's up there.
Yesterday I felt well enough to walk to Von's and do a little good shopping. I had one woman come up to me and say, "oh my god!what happened to you?" I replied car accident and attempted to flash a smile under my gauze atop my lip.
Swelling around my eyes has gone down and the bruises are starting to heal. I can tell because they're turning yellow. Here's a picture of yesterday and One of today! Two more days until the cast comes off.

Hi :)
My appointment is at 5 pm on Wednesday for cast removal. My surgery was on Friday. But I have lost 8 lb in just few days. I am trying to eat well. But still losing weight. It made me nervous. My mom told me not to worry about anything. And my nose looks big. I know it is swollen. I hope everything goes well. I feel very scared sometimes :(

Keep your chin up :) I'm nervous about the outcome too, but then I think it's not possible to look worse than I did prior to surgery. Worrying probably doesn't help much either. Stay positive! Only a few more days to go. I know I've lost weight too but I think it's because I didn't buy any junk food. Normally, I love sweets but I only bought healthy food to aid my body in recovering.
My appointment is in the morning on Wednesday, so i'll post pictures immediately.
