It started when I put a head shot on my Linked In page. I was horrified at how OLD and tired I looked. After starting and running my own business for 30 years, I went back to school to complete my Business Degree and was excited about a change, new challenges and the opportunity to share my experience. When I saw how I really looked, my enthusiasm nose-dived.
I started with a "less invasive" program - laser facial rejuvenation - via a CO2 laser. It was a waste of $1000. But that is another story for another time. Frustrated with the lack of any visible result from the laser, I sought a mini lift and upper and lower eye lid surgery. I also decided to remove the spider veins in my cheeks along with the brown spots on my forehead.
Being a conscientious business person, I got 3 estimates from 3 different doctors. The first two came in at about $5,000 just for the eyelid surgery, and said I simply did not need a lift yet. However, they would recommend a "less invasive" filler program. I felt that as I was going to do my eyes, it would make sense to go ahead and "invade" my face at the same time and do the lift.
I found several reviews on this site that lauded the skills of Dr Seiger in Fenton, Michigan. The consult was no charge, and after I listed what my concerns were, he recommended the very course I already had planned. He also quoted $5600 for the upper and lower lids, the mini-lift, V-beam laser for the spider veins and brown spots, and filler for my thin upper lip. That was about the same amount the other two surgeons quoted just for the eyelids.
The surgery itself went well. The office was VERY busy that day and Dr Seiger had to pop out a couple of times. I will admit that made me a little nervous. However, I remained awake and alert for the procedure. The numbing shots were the most uncomfortable part - especially in the under eye area. However, no part of it was intolerable.
The stitches came out a week later - most of them - the swelling made a couple difficult to reach and I removed them myself with tweezers as the swelling subsided. I wore sunglasses in public beginning the 5th day post-op, and blended in fairly well. I would NOT have shown myself without the sunglasses, however. I looked purple and swollen for about 10 days.
At the 3 week follow-up, Dr Seiger used the V-beam to zap the brown spots on my forehead and the veins in my cheeks. Most of the veins disappeared immediately, leaving only a little redness and swelling. The brown spots, however, turned purple-black and refused to be covered by any amount of makeup. It has been 3 days and no fade has occurred yet.
I am very, very pleased with my result so far. The lift looks natural and my eyes appear higher and brighter. My neck even smoothed out noticeably, though I understand this does not always happen. The filler smoothed out acne scars along my nose and chin, and I finally appear to have an upper lip!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr Seiger and his staff. He is busy, busy, busy and appears to like it that way. He looks you in the eye and listens to what you want. He really cares that he provides the service you expect. He doesn't fill you full of unreal expectations, but counsels toward realistic expectations. And he recognizes the need for the little things - fillers, spot removal, etc. He doesn't act as though those procedures are beneath him. I love his energy, and who can resist that enthusiasm! Wow, you cannot beat the price, either!
I absolutely recommend Dr Seiger if you want facial procedures.
I will be back to upload my "after" photos when the big purple spots have faded.

Those photos can be very jarring, I agree. Nothing like a little dose of reality. Ugh.
I hope you find the job of your dreams with your newfound confidence! I think you look lovely!
