Just had my procedure today. I've always been self-conscious about my nose and finally had the opportunity to have surgery. Was able to go home pretty quickly after surgery. Post-op Day 0 has been so-so. Biggest complaints at this point are of course the congestion, but I also have a killer headache. Caffeine withdrawal possibly contributing. Decently controlled with pain meds but definitely going to focus on really upping my hydration tomorrow to see if it helps. Also starting a Medrol dosepack tomorrow so hoping that helps me out. Swelling and bruising coming in nicely, especially on my bridge! Undereye area not looking too shabby at this point but I know the peak is still probably yet to come! Doing my best to keep the ice on my eyes as instructed. At this point I am mostly just tired, but excited to get this whole healing thing rolling.

Glad I can help, I had wished there were more reviews before I had my surgery too!

Day 1
Laura_BeanJune 27, 2017
Officially nearing the end of post-op day 1! I'm significantly more swollen and bruised than yesterday but overall feeling pretty good at this point. Was up and about quite a bit more than yesterday. Headache has greatly decreased today and that was really the worst of it anyway. Got a call from my amazing nurse Heather this morning to check in on me.
Some things I wish I would've thought about or purchased before surgery.
1. Soft foods, I feel like I COULD probably chew a bit more at this point but I just don't want to. Mostly sticking to mashed potatoes, pudding, etc. at this point (not that I can taste food anyway)!
2. Ice mask for eyes. I was able to take home the one they gave me after surgery but the more you re-use it the more it leaks. Luckily I had some self contained ice packs that fit in the mask on hand but otherwise would've needed to go purchase something.
3. Face wipes since not able to shower for first couple days, feeling darn greasy at this point.
4. Miralax. Again, luckily had some on hand but would've had to purchase if not. Because narcotics without stool softener is a bad deal.
