Absolutely love my results!

Upsides:
1. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about my nose immediately after my surgery (and frankly in the first few months/years after), but after the three year mark, my nose settled and looks amazing. It looks smaller than average for an African American nose, but still "fits my face" if that makes sense. In other words, I look like a black woman with a small nose, not a black woman with a nose job. The results are truly amazing. Most people (with the exception of my mom) could / did not guess and the few people I told were shocked!

Downsides:
1. The doctor's bedside manner is essentially non-existent. Since my surgery he followed up exactly zero times to see if I was okay and/or inquire about my results. If that is something that is important to you, I would look elsewhere.
2. Additionally, when I went in for a follow-up, he didn't even have access to my before pictures. I had to pull up images of my old nose, so he could remember what it looked like before.

Very happy with my results. Would highly recommend Dr. G!!!

I am now a few weeks from being 6 months post-op and am extremely happy with my results. I intend to send Dr. G an update shortly. With the exception of my mother, few people recognize that I have had my nose done. The results are significant yet natural and appropriate for an African-American female. If I do disclose that I have had a nose job, people are shocked by how natural the appearance of my nose is. I think part of it may be people have such a negative perception of the results plastic surgery can achieve. I will not publicly post my pictures but happy to share individually if you PM me. Also feel free to PM with any other questions, etc.

27 yo rhinoplasty with Dr. G

I had my surgery at the end of May with Dr. G. The surgery was surprisingly painless and I was able to walk around with no bandages within a week. To be fair, I did not "need" a nose job in that I didn't have a major hump or have a noticeably large nose. The nurse even commented that she was shocked that I was getting a nose job bc I didn't "need" it (I put need in parentheses bc technically speaking no one needs a cosmetic rhinoplasty- it truly is about personal preference). However I thought that I might look more beautiful with a slightly smaller, more refined nose. TBH I am almost 5 months post-op and my nose still changes shape and looks different from day to day. There are times when I look at photographs and really like what I see and others when the tip looks somewhat bulbous and misshapen and I don't love the look. With that said, I've gone back to living my life and don't stare at my nose obsessively anymore. I will definitely email Dr. G later this month with an update and wait until I am 12-18 months out to make a final judgment (worth it/not worth it). If anyone is in the same boat (had surgery with Dr. G and still unsure about results), lmk if you'd be interested in swapping before/after photos. I would love to get an unbiased opinion from someone.
