Feeling sad again

$599
The thing about voluma is it makes my face sensitive. In since I had some dissolved, I want the rest dissolved. Im super depressed today. I have to meet with this guy in a month and I just want the rest of this stuff gone from my face and to be happy again and natural again. I feel so sad that I had to complain to the doctor, but this stuff is just not for me. I should have either kept it or not got it at all, but now that I had it dissolved once, I need the rest dissolved. If somebody can please contact me to chat that would be great. Im feeling so depressed now.

Sorry you're feeling sad. I hope you can get the results you're looking for. As I mentioned in an earlier comment,I had voluma a couple days ago and it is definitely swollen and my face looks a bit strange. So I know where you're coming from. Hang in there and maybe no more fillers for a while :) xo
Thanks for the support. It really comforts me the most to have other people to connect with on here. I think the main reason I'm nervous is because I will be meeting up with this guy in August and he really only knows my pre filler look. I'm just so terrified. The thing about voluma is it looks great with makeup and when the swelling subsides, but sometimes the swelling returns if you eat something salty or even do strenuous activities. I do wish the doctors would be honest about the recovery time. My advice to anybody would be to not do it before you have to go somewhere important. Maybe winter time would be a better time when you are in the house anyway and can heal without anybody seeing. Anyway, thanks for all the support and I hope you end up loving your result. It is best to just give it time. I think in the future I will just stick with Botox and microdermabrasion. I don't hate fillers, but it's a long recovery time and swelling comes and goes. The doctors always make it seem before they inject you that you can go out or go to work the next day. That's simply not true. I guess I can just take peace in knowing that good result or bad result, voluma is not permanent. Fillers have also just become so commonplace now. Even teenagers like Kylie Jenner are getting them. I love the look of fillers on other people, I just don't know if I like the feel for myself.
I'm sure the guy you're meeting will think you are beautiful and if he has an issue with you somehow looking different than he expected then he is not worth it!! Be happy with yourself and confident. That confidence is what men love :) hope it goes well...
Give it time. It usually takes at least 2 weeks for any swelling to subside. You're just freaking out because you're meeting someone new. Enjoy your meeting and him! He will adore you because you're happy and smiling. You're cheeks will look radiant and oh so youthful!
Can I ask who the injector was? I’m also in Chicago and go to a female plastic surgeon. She is highly skilled and suggesting I do this because of lower jawline starting to sag. It scares me to do it. I’m afraid my cheeks will look like Jenny McCarthy. Who looks nothing like herself anymore!
if I saw you walk by on the street,I wouldn't think anything of it.you look just fine.

Ended up being happy

I totally regret nagging my doctor to remove some of the voluma. Looking at a pic I took when I had voluma and makeup, I looked super good. My doctor is honestly one of the best in Illinois and thats why I trusted her when I looked at her work. She has lots of artistry and she know the nerves in the face. Please if you get voluma, don't be discouraged if you have initial swelling or redness. After a month, you will look amazing. I so regret having some of mine dissolved. My doctor was also so patient with me even when I was mean and accusing her of destroying me. LOL. She makes herself available 24/7 by text. I am actually a little embarrassed now at my behavior. I should have really waited before going crazy.

The swelling freaked me out. Voluma swells more than other fillers. A little of the product also goes a long way.
You are beautiful and it looks like you had a great result. I had voluma today and I'm freaking a.l bit because of the swelling. Reading your story made me calm down so thanks for that :)
Thanks so much. You are so sweet. Hope you end up loving your results :-)
Give it 2 weeks before judging. You will love it!
I think you look beautiful in the pic!
Can you message me please?
I just had Voluma injected in my tear troughs. I’m freaking out a little because I’m still puffy 4 days after. reading your post makes me feel better - you look amazing.

I went to a doctor who had given me very good...

I went to a doctor who had given me very good Botox in the past. While getting the Botox, I showed her an indentation on my face that I had from sleeping. She suggested voluma which she had on special would help. Like an idiot, I trusted her and got the voluma. It's been a nightmare ever since. I will NEVER try fillers again. I had one round of hyalurondase to dissolve it. Of course I will need more. Fillers destroy the unique things about your face that make it attractive. Also, the injector has to be extremely experienced and know the anatomy of the face. My advice to anybody who wants to try voluma, don't get it unless you are at least in your 50s or have a super skinny face. Voluma also swells your tissues and it gave me rosacea. Your face will always look puffy like you've had a ton of salt. I honestly don't know why so many people rave about this filler. You can feel it in your face too. I will now have to get so many hyaluronidase rounds to remove it. I just want my face back.
