I had been very concious of my hooded eyelids for over the last 3years. I felt that I couldn't apply the makeup styles I wanted & I also felt I looked very serious and tired all the time. I finally took the plunge and had a consultation with Dr Dunaway on the 15th July 2015. I spent a lot of time researching doctors. After the consultation I felt more confident that my hang up was not just in my head as some friends and family had been telling me. They said my eyes where fine & I didn't need anything done. The procedure was carried out under local anaesthetic at the clinic. This was great as I could go about my usual daily routine and eat and drink as normal. The procedure took approx 1hr and I was completely comfortable and felt no pain or discomfort during the procedure. Directly afterwards I could feel a tighteness and struggled to blink. I am writing this two days post op and I have a fair amount of bruising over my left eye (left side of my face has always been more sensitive) still awkward to blink and vision is very blurry. I have not experienced any pain or needed to take pain relief. I will be having my stitches removed on the 9th Sept.

1.Where did you have consultation?
2. Does he charge for consultation? If so, how much?

It's 152 Harley Street London. Consult was £180.

Consultation is £300. Also, generally, if for whatever reason the patient or doctor decides not to go through with surgery, it is refunded back to the patient. But this is£300 and it's non refundable.

Your eyes look great! I also have hooded eyelids that are beginning to droop. I have an upper blapharoplasty appointment on Feb. 5th 2016. I hope my eyes look as good as yours.

I also had hooded eye lids and I had my surgery on September of 2015. You can see my story on this website. It is the one that says 61 year old former Medical Assistant. Anyway I am so happy I had my eyes done.I also had the lower done too.y opper lids were so heavy that when my eyes were open my eye lashes would disappear under the extra skin. Even when I put on eye makeup it was difficult because wouldn't look even I also lost my vision on the sides and really was not aware of it until after the surgery. So my vision is so much better. I think you will be happy when your eyes are done.. The recovery is not bad at all. Just be patient and before you know it your eyes will look great
Good luck.

It will really open up your eyes after the swelling goes down.

Love your brows, by the way!

Our eyes are kind of similar. Have you always had hooded lids as a teenager? Did the doctor raise your crease or put it in the crease? You look great, btw.

Feeling a lot better today. Eyes no longer feel dry and can blink without the really tight sensation. Vision a lot clearer too, but think this is down to eyes being well lubricated again. So far feeling positive :))

Did you have ointment in your eyes before surgery? Your eyes look amazing now and it must give you much more confidence. Btw your eyebrows are beautiful too...do you do them yourself or were they done professionally? Hope you don't mind me asking!
