3 1/2 year update
it’s been a while!! I’m so happy to say that my skin is still doing amazing. I might get one pimple every month or two. I do have black heads on my nose but oh well, it’s not an overwhelming amount by any means. The only negative thing I can think that has come from accutane is that my hair thinned out considerably during and after the course of treatment and I would say it’s never completely bounced back. it’s probably not noticeable to most people but of course I can tell a difference. looking back, accutane put me through a lot physically and emotionally but I think the confidence I have now is worth all of that ten fold. if you are considering accutane, I do honestly highly recommend it even if it’s not easy.
Just when I thought my skin couldn’t get any clearer
I have about 2 weeks left on my medicine and then I am DONE!!! I have absolutely zero blemishes on my face and my old acne marks have remarkably cleared up. I cannot explain how much my confidence has increased. This was absolutely the best decision I’ve ever made. I definitely put my body through a lot going on this medicine, but honestly if I had to do it all over again I would 100%. I will take pictures at my 3 month update in July and how my skin is managing with just topicals.

My skin looks AMAZING. Like my darker marks are going away and I’m really seeing improvement and am starting to get a LOT of compliments on my skin. I was so scared to go on this medicine and of the side effects but I am so grateful that I took the leap and did it. Battling the side effects has not been easy but they’ve substantially subsided. I’m about to start month 4 in about a week and feel more motivated than ever to finish this stuff up!
