6 Week Post-Op Photos
WORTH IT
Here are my 6 week post-op photos, a few weeks late! I will be 8 weeks post-op tomorrow and I’m feeling great. I was cleared to resume any and all activities I wanted at my 6 week appt. Still some discomfort here and there, no pain though. I’ve resumed the gym and hope my results continue to improve. I can’t say enough about Dr. Darrow and Alex. They have both been amazing! I had a concern over my belly button and I was able to email photos and Dr. Darrow quickly responded!

1 Week Post-op Photos
It’s been 10 days since surgery. I had my drains removed this morning, thank goodness! It was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The pain is mostly tolerable, still taking Tylenol fairly regularly. No need for anything stronger. The photos were taken at 1 week post-op.

Tina’s Tips tummy tuck vs lower body lift
I’m so thankful Dr Kevin Bridge Abilene Texas did 2 quotes for me one tummy tuck w/lipo and one lower body lift w/lipo-
I had to Google lower body lift to see what it even was, and I thought omgggg this is what I need I added saline breast implants pre op appt
Get the lower body lift if you have excess skin the tummy tuck won’t get rid of all around
Natures sunshine lymphatic drainage helps with swelling beyond imaginable
Lift recliner you will sleep and be able to get up to go to bathroom I stayed in mine about 4 weeks then slowly got to sleep in my bed
Silicone gel. **The tape don’t stay in place, unless under breast did great
Compression socks since not much movement
First week toughest, 6 weeks you start feeling good
Rest as much as possible
Long Tongs to pick up things that fall
Tables beside the recliner for everything you need
Listen to your Dr and go to all appointments
Wear your compression garments helps with swelling, pain and contouring
Take stool softener when you get home, I didn’t and only had liquids first 3 days and was impacted and did water enema’s to loosen was not fun
I had 3 drains and had to attend a funeral I placed them in a fanny pack wish I would have done that from the start was so much easier to deal with them they are a pain but so very needed
You are going to look awesome, don’t expect perfection unless you were already there, I am not perfect but I love my 2nd chance body makeover and I’m thrilled with it! Best decision I ever made!!
If you have help at home let them help you
Listen to your body and be patient
In my case it took pressure off my bladder and I pee like never before with the flap of tummy gone
Also my blood pressure is perfect which it was always slightly high prior at times high Dr suggested pills if it didn’t lower
I can’t wait to have my cholesterol lab’s done cause I know it’s lower as well
Wish you all the best

10/05/2020 Lower Body Lift
I had gastric bypass surgery in August 2007. I have maintained a loss of approximately 120 pounds since then. I’ve also maintained excess fat and skin. Yesterday, was the start of my new journey. I finally had a lower body lift. I’m just home today so in a bit of pain with 4 drains. Trying to maintain on Tylenol as best I can. We’ll see how that goes! :-) I haven’t been able to see me without the binder but I just wanted to share my before and early after phots to start.
