After 10 years of wanting a BA, and a few rounds of consults with the top rated & referred surgeons in the Twin Cites I decided to go with Dr. Ness for many reasons, but would like to share the top 3. 1. Him – Dr. Ness is both incredibly talented and personable, which in my experience is a rare combo in surgeons. I had become so frustrated with surgeons not wanting to give me their opinion on size “because I’m the one who has to live with them”... With Dr. Ness, I was able to explain what I wanted to look like and from that he was able to narrow it down to few options and then help me hone in on the size which would give me my desired look (including factoring in my body type - I have an athletic frame/broad shoulders). Additionally, never once throughout the process (from consultation to post-operative apt) did I feel as though he was rushing through the time or interactions he had with me. He is always patient, warm, engaging and funny! 2. His Staff – My mom pointed out that the relationship with the Patient Coordinator is equally as important if not more so than with the surgeon since you have the most interaction with this person. Michaela is truly incredible. I can tell she genuinely cares about each and every one of Dr. Ness’s patients and that comes through in how she treats us. She’s never too busy to take the time to thoughtfully answer any question (big or small) or help ease any concern. As for the rest of the staff, all I can say is every interaction has been fantastic! From gals at the front desk, to the nurses & anesthesiologist everyone has been professional, kind & and an overall delight. 3. His facility – I can’t say enough about how fond I am of his office. It doesn’t have the typical clinic feeling. Instead it has a modern, but warm vibe. The fact the surgical facility is also onsite was a big deal for me. It helped ease my anxiety on the day of my procedure because going to his office was less scary than going to a hospital or institutional feeling surgical facility. Oh, and the added bonus was during my procedure my friend who drive me was able to get a med-spa facial right upstairs complements of Dr. Ness! I am now almost 4 weeks post procedure and am thrilled with the results thus far - I am so happy I went with the size he recommended! In terms of my recovery, things have been much easier than I ever anticipated, thanks to his exceptional surgical skills and it being a dry procedure.
