I am 49, 5 '6, 125, had tummy tuck with light lipo on hips & flanks 4 months ago. I look like I still need a tummy tuck! Please tell me if something looks wrong to you or just maybe a lot of swelling. The puffy stomach & thick body make me wish I never had surgery! No pre-pictures but pre-surgery I had a thin middle with excess skin due to pregnancy (carried pregnancy mainly in the front). Now my entire middle is thick & I look like a man. I waited years to treat myself, now I look worse.
I had a full TT in April 2018 with pretty extensive MR. Every follow up since my surgery Ive expressed my concern with my PS about possible failure. Every time I was told that my MR was in tact. Now at 10 months PO hes saying I must have weak fascia and my muscles separated and that I will have to pay for a mini TT to have him fix my muscles. Very frustrated to say the least. Does this look like MR failure? Can I fix with ab work or will I need to re-do it to get flat?
Hi, I'm a 33 year old female. 5' 5 and 130 lbs I had a tummy tuck and muscle repair 7 months ago. I'm pretty sure my muscle repair came undone. This happened at about 5 months post op. I've also included a picture of how it looked prior to the bulging. Also, my implants bottomed out, verrrry badly. Could that pressure from that have anything to do with it? I would love to get some opinions or other possibilities.
So I am 6 months out from full tummy tuck and I feel my sutures may have failed to hold in my muscle repair. I have more of a bulge now above my belly button than prior to surgery. I was 124lbs before and 122 lbs now I feel like I am not happy and waster 10k thoughts??
Is it possible for only a small section of your muscle repair to fail? I had a full tummy tuck in 12/2018 and lipo 360 10/20 and there is a small bulge on my right upper quadrant. I didnt really notice it until after the lipo. Its noticeable when I flex my abdominal muscles. Its firm to touch when flexed. No pain. When I do the lay down test, it almost feels like there cold possibly be a separation there that would correlate with the bulge. Is this even possible or am I just being paranoid?
I had a tummy tuck in early January. I didnt have much extra skin but my doctor was insistent that he wanted to remove some to get some small stretch marks off. My skin feels like it is going to rip open and I think he removed too much. I still have one spot that wont heal and my scar is so wide and stretched. I also have a very hard marble sized lump under my skin and the skin above it is starting to turn pink. And my stomach is not even close to flat. My dr says he did nothing wrong.
I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair 7 months ago. About 5 weeks ago I also had some liposuction done to the lower abdomen area as it has never been flat since the tummy tuck. At the moment its still not flat, especially in the evenings. My stomach is flat in the morning but as soon as I eat or drink something I get a round stomach. Is it possible that my muscle repair wasnt tight enough? My surgeon insists that the muscle repair is intact. Im 53tall and weigh 107 pounds.
I posted this question earlier but wanted to include more photos. My stomach has never been flat since my TT, the swelling has gone down but my surgeon has said I need some liposuction to the area below the belly button. However my upper abdomen is still rounded but he says nothing can be done about it. Did the muscle repair fail? My stomach is flat when I lie down and lift my head.
My surgeon palpated my significant edema at my f/u. He could not find evidence of Seroma and even tried to drain the tender area, with no luck. He suggested that although very rare I may have loosened or broken some of the sutures due to a post operative cough and would require another surgery to repair that. When he left the room I asked the RN how often this happens. She said in 7 years she has never seen it. What diagnostic imaging can confirm ?
