I had a TT 1.5 years ago. Recently I feel like I did after surgery, like my muscles are tearing inside. It hurts to move at times especially if my abs are engaged. My belly button scar is even protruding now too. I do have more of a bulge on top of my belly button than I do below. It's weird and I'm worried about it. I had the TT because I had Diastasis Recti pretty bad and an umbilical hernia. Any thoughts?
-DOB: 10/13/84; -Childhood obesity; -Lost and sustained 150lb weight loss before age 22; -Significant excess skin; -Worked out 5hrs a day/6 days a week from 2005-2022; -Abdominoplasty 01/2023 BEYOND HAPPY with results; -Present day: I experience heavy swelling and puffiness post workouts. If I don't work out at all, I'm skinny AF. Is this normal? Shouldn't swelling have altogether stopped? Why does swelling still happen?
Im 18 months post-op: hernia repair, tummy tuck and full muscle repair. I have healed wonderfully and am back to my weight-lifting routine. Sometimes when hunched and bearing weight (such as holding an abdominal crunch), the upper portion of my muscle repair above my belly button WEIRDLY seizes: placing a hand on the spot I feel what Id describe as my sutures folded over themselves. Upon relaxing and straightening, I feel the sutures flip open/unfold. Normal? Im otherwise healthy and strong.
my procedure was done 1 1/2 years ago, I still experience a sensation of tightness in the abdominal area. it is uncomfortable but not painful. My surgeon continues to tell me there is no problem. Should I be more concerned?
Hello, I had a G.I. visit yesterday and doctors assistant asked to press on my stomach. I let her not thinking she would press on my actual middle suture line pretty hard. I freaked out afterwards and it is a little sore today but not too bad. My surgery was December of 2022. Could this cause repair failure a year and a half out? Thanks so much.
18 months post tummy tuck I still have consist hardness, limp causing discomfort in my abs. Prior to the surgery I had three consultation with different consultants. All of which stated my abs were fine and no repair was required. I personally couldnt feel any separation. Fast forward to after surgery, the pain was horrendous as apparently I had 4 cm gap so repair was done. Ever since ive had internal lump and if a tense it bulge out above navel. My consultant has given no explanation
Is it possible for skin and muscle to not reattach? Im 1 year and 6 months post op and when laying down I can push on one part of my stomach and my whole stomach will jiggle it feels deep like its deep under but it doesnt do it while standing its actually pretty tight when standing up first notice at about 3 months post op went to the doctor and seroma was ruled out my doctor actually felt nothing was wrong however I know my stomach shouldnt do that
Hi there, I had a tummy tuck in August 2022 and then lipo on the area in November 2023 - my scar line is now saggy when I sit - the surgeon said this is normal and everyone gets this. I had lipo after because he recommended I do so as I wasnt too big to start. Can you please advise? The skin feels so lose - will it recede back? Ive also put a pic of before, after TT and then now. Thank you
I am almost a year and a half post tummy tuck. When I lean forward or am on my hands and knees, the skin is severely loose and looks like udders. I had a muscle repair along with this tummy tuck and some liposuction. I went back to my PS and did not get any answers that I felt really helped me figure out why this happened or what we could do to fix it. I love how I look standing up and in clothing but when I am bending over, its pretty gross looking and Im very disappointed.
