I have been getting laser tattoo removal session for over 6 months. After my fifth session I began getting hives and a rash under and around my tattoo. I didnt think too much of it and thought it maybe the Neosporin that I have been using. I discontinued using the Neosporin and my doctor gave me steroids to take for a few days. I let the hives and tatttoo site heal and went again for another session. This time it was even worse. Help?!? Could it be The laser sessions itself?
I had my first laser removal treatment done 2 weeks ago on my full sleeve. 2 weeks later (yesterday) some bumps/hives showed up in the treated tattooed area closer to my wrist, and it does itch. I started taking an otc antihistamine (reactine), but I find it odd that the bumps are restricted to only being inside the tattooed area and not anywhere else around the body. Is this something that is consistent with a common allergy or should I view it as some serious skin condition developing?
I had a tattoo laser treated by a q switched laser 3 times and had what my doctor diagnosed as a systemic reaction 2 times and was advised to stop laser treatment, which I did. It is now 7 months later and I am still getting hives itchy and sometimes not at the tattoo site and on a few random spots on my body. My question is when will this stop? My next question is am I still able to get another tattoo? My doctor has never seen this kind of reaction before so neither question have been answered.
I had a severe systemic reaction: hives along with swelling of upper lip after laser tattoo removal sessions. I have since stopped therapy and had to take steroids for a few months. What caused this reaction? I did not have a reaction to the initial placement of the tattoo. Is it possible to be allergic to the laser treatment itself? Am I ok to have another tattoo done since I reacted to the laser? Am I forever allergic to any kind of laser treatment or procedure and or tattoo placement
I have a tattoo on my wrist, i have had 3 laser sessions on the tattoo and have suffered multiple allergic reactions after the laser, i was on steroids and multiple antihistamines to bring the reaction down. At the moment i have not touched the tattoo since Oct 2015, and still get hives on the tattoo site, this tattoo is 9 years old, and never had an issue with it until laser. After options? Pic show tattoo in current state and after a healed laser session and allergic reaction.
I had a tattoo removal session with a q switched laser 8 weeks ago. 6 weeks ago I developed hives/swelling in lips and eyes lids and was put on steriods for 3 weeks. Now I am only on antihistamines 2 times a day bit I still have hives that come and go on my tattooed wrist, other arm and sometimes torso. My skin has been itchy as well for the past three weeks. Will this every go away? How much longer will this go on for? My GP doesn't seem to know anything about why I am experiencing this?
1st session was fine only worked the black ink The 2nd and 3rd I did the red ink.1 week after my 2nd and 3rd treatment I broke out in hives all over my body, had swelling of my eyes and lips. I went to the ER-never had breathing problems and put on steroids, for 2+ weeks. I am now too scared to continue with treatment. Prior to laser treatment I had never had an allergic reaction to any of my tattoos during or after placement. Why is this happening?
