Hi Doctors. I'm of asian background and have permanent makeup tattooed in medium brown. I know the brand used contains iron and/or titanium dioxides. What is the likelihood of the ink turning a weird colour (red, orange, yellow, jet black) if lasered with Picoway or Fotona Q4 Max? I'm asian and I'm scared it will be florescent or very unnatural looking on the face. If the ink oxidises, does that mean it can never be removed with laser (e.g. if it goes black). The spot is too small for testing
I have a white/blue/yellow/purple/pink/red tattoo. I am Asian skin type 3 or 4. Is full removal possible for my skin type? Have any Asian skin tones been able to fully remove a color tattoo?
I have a half sleeve and thigh piece I got when I turned 18. Im 22 now and getting ready to graduate and I want them completely removed soo bad. At several consultations I was told it would take 2-3 years to completely remove and I may not see 100% clearance. I also have a higher chance of hypo or hyperpigmentation because Im Asian with a Fitzpatrick skin type of 3/4. Do you think there will be better methods of removal arise in the next decade
I am of Asian descent and am very concerned about going through with laser tattoo removal because of my ethnicity. Although, I don't have any keloid scars, I do have a couple hypertrophic scars from moderate cuts I got a while back, so scarring has also instilled fear in me as well. I realize I'm in panic mode and might just be worrying too much or overthinking it, but I care so much about my skin and just want to get through this removal process with little to no skin damage.
Hello, My skin is asian brownish, like beyonce tonality, maybe a bit darker and I have a colored tattoo on the chest with red, yellow, green, blue and purple. Is it possible to get a removal without hypopigmentation? Also, is it possible to remove those tonalities from my skin? If so, which treatment would be the more advisable? Thanks!
I've had my second laser tattoo removal treatment of a 10 cm^2 (5 cm long x 2 cm wide) tattoo on my chest. Laser treatments resulted in bad scarring, including a keloid (I'm Asian). Laser is not going to work. Apart from the fact that I have proven to have a tendency to develop keloidal scarring, are there any other factors that would complicate tattoo excision? Is there anything at all that would prevent or complicate surgical excision? Is there any reason I shouldn't go through with excision?
So I very recently got this tattoo and immediately regretted my decision. It's something that I really wanted but realised that maybe... I'm not quite ready for it. I want it removed. How much would treatment cost? How many treatments would it take? I'm young, asian, fair skinned. The tattoo itself is black ink.
I Need to Get a 5cm X 5cm Tattoo on my Upper Sternum Removed. Is Laser Better or Excision? I'm an asian in mid 20s, and I'd like to know the best options to remove my tattoo. Also, when is the best time of the year to get excision or laser?
Got a tattoo 6 days ago and I want it gone. Im of East Asian descent and the part of the tattoo Im worried about removing has yellow ink as well as yellow mixed with white ink. Im afraid of the white ink oxidizing and making the whole process useless. If that happens is it fixable? Also considering tattoo excision just to avoid the fear of oxidization and to guarantee an entire removal but I dont know if my tattoo is even viable for that considering its about 4.3in x 3.5in
