I had a septoplasty. The surgeon tried to tell me my nose was crooked after surgery because he needed to make it align to my crooked upper lip (both deviated to my left). Is it true that Ill have a crooked nose forever and a second surgery wont fix this? No ones face is symmetrical so why cant I have a straight nose when other ppl out there have asymmetries and their nose is straight (regardless of position of their upper lip). Id like to know if I can have a straight nose despite my lip
Can a septoplasty fix upper lip asymmetry? The septum is deviated, the tip is off to the side, and the nostrils are at different heights. Therefore, the upper lip is also asymmetric, and its crooked/tilted so that the lip line is diagonal. So, will a septoplasty fix this issue, or is more needed to permanently fix the issue at hand?
I had major septal reconstruction and rhinoplasty to remove the hump on my nose 4 months ago. My surgeon said I was VERY deviated and that my septum was completely to one side and a 5/200 case. My nose is as hard as a rock now. My smile has not shown much improvement in the last two months. He says this is due to stiffness and NOT because of nerve/muscle cutting and that this will clear in 1 yr. Is what he is saying true? I'm very depressed because I loved my smile.
Hi, I have been experiencing breathing issues, the feeling of not being able to get a good breath. This has led me to mouth breathing. An ent did say I have a deviated septum. I am curious if you think I have a deviated septum. Also the cartilage underneath my nose seems excess, is this from the deviated septum? Also would fixing it provide any extra skin for my top lip, since it is already shortened? Hopefully my questions make sense. Thanks so much.
the question is when I started waking up from surgery my nose started bleeding and continues now for 12 hours and still continues also I realized that my upper lip is swollen and inside it is a very big bruise are the bleeding and the bruise are normal to stay for this long period of time
