I had a septoplasty & turbinate reduction done 5 months ago. It seemed to help my mouth breathing as i have better flow out of my right side. But no change on my left side. The air flow is greatly reduced and labored. My ENT said the cartilage had reverted, but he could it again, a more aggressively this time. Do i have a better chance of success a 2nd time or more complications? I am 60 & have well-controlled diabetes, but have noted that i take longer to heal. Also have allergies to cats.
So recently I have been told that my right nostril is being blocked by my septum and that may have led to me mouth breathing for a while now. I also have an overbite and some crowding on the lower teeth. I I just want to know if that has affected my face any and if anything can be done to improve my situation.
lately I feel the air in my nose when i take a breath and it feels cool but not going into my lungs and now i am paying attention to my breathing i also feel my sinus and ears poppin and drainage and i feel my nose clearing up sinus plus i have gastritis when i lay on my back to sleep sometimes my mouth comes open i can sleep through the night only getting up to to go through the bathroom GAD SINUS SURGERY IN DECEMBER
I am having trouble breathing through my nose and am a mouth breather which is why my mouth is always open and never. My nose is crooked to the left and I want it to be straight which procedure do I need to fix this issue.
Had Septoplasty + Turbinate surgery about 5 days ago. I'm healing well, and the doc took the packing out a couple of days ago. I also no longer have any gauze/cotton. Just some dried blood and mucus discharge. But I still have some numbness in the roof of my mouth towards the front. But I'm not sure if that should fade away soon or if its a residual, 'permanent' effect and if there's any cause for concern. Thank you!
The first couple of pictures are of me. My issues; starting w/my nose I hate the bridge & how wide it is throughout. I have a deviated septum which makes it very difficult to breath at times I feel as though I'm suffocating. The last couple of pictures are of the nose I wish I had, what do I need to be done along with septoplasty to achieve this? Then my mouth/chin area. I don't know what to do other than juvederm in my upper lip/nasolabial folds (& under eye area). Lastly, how to fix my acne scarring?
I am having severe roof of mouth pain since my surgery and it seems to be getting worse instead of better. I have spoke with my surgeon and he put me on 10 days of steroids. Tomorrow is my last day and those have done nothing. The only way I can describe it, is a burning pain behind my upper front teeth. Please help???
