I use Tretinoin for anti-aging purposes, but my skin gets dry in the winter. I understand why Vaseline would dilute the effectiveness of Tretinoin if applied before Tretinoin, but would it essentially lock it in while also preventing moisture if applied after Tretinoin? Or even 20-30 minutes after applying Tretinoin?
Ive been using 0.025% for a month now and typically use it every night. If I apply tretinoin over an occlusive cream, such as one with mineral oil will the cream affect its efficacy? Will the occlusive prevent the tretinoin from penetrating the skin? Ive tried applying the tretinoin first and cream after but it causes a lot of pilling even if I wait an hour!
I have been using prescription Retin-A cream 0.05% once a week. the problem is after the treatment I get very sensitive . Plus also irritated I like to know what kind of cream or moisturizer that I could put on so before the next treatment. I usually use hypogenic non-fragranced moisturizer for sensitive skin, now Ive changed to Vaseline. And my worry is that between the treatments, I cannot use anything but Vaseline. Im worried that its not enough just using retinol and Vaseline itself. I cannot use the AHA/BHA cream, 2.0 LYTERA pigment correct serum, revival skin cream, and eye anti-aging serum
Hello Switched my retin-A 0.05% creme to a 0.1% gel and my face turned into a peel off-mask (kind of fun picking your skin), cannot be constantly flaky and red - It's nasty looking. Since My reaction to the stronger concetration is heavy peeling, should I peel my skin once a week with 0.1% and use 0.05% other nights? And is sealing serum and moisturiser into my skin with vaseline ok? It seems to work. Thank you :-)
Just finished isotretinoin course Then was prescribed tretinoin 0.05% Is it okay to moisturize with Vaseline. Or will Vaseline give me acne and prevent tretinoin from working. Thank you in advance
