I am a mid 20s male who has acquired brown spots and freckles on the drivers side of my face. The spots are in my beard area, however I have not really developed anything more than a few hairs in this area yet (late bloomer). I have type 1 skin. I have had offices mention both IPL and Picosure Focus. Since I haven't grown a beard yet - would IPL impact the future growth of my beard? Also, with Picosure - how effective is it at treating brown spots? What is the downtime? Does it risk hair loss?
I was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer and have just completed treatment. I am currently 22, with brown Indian skin. Both of my cheeks are covered in pitted acne scars (mostly boxcar), and there are some on my nose. On top of that, I also have a lot of dark spots left over by acne. My dermatologist mentioned that there are no cancer risks to Picosure. However, I am seeking more information and opinions as I'm unsure if there is radiation in the laser or anything like that.
I am an Indian girl. I am considering laser treatment using Pico Clear laser for skin lightening. After the initial set of sessions, I believe touch up treatments are needed once every few months to maintain the results. Are there any long term side effects from this treatment?
I'm a female in my late 30's and have thin, delicate, pale skin (redhead skin) that flushes easily (maybe pre-Rosacea). I'm hesitant because I've heard bad things about other supposedly safe lasers either melting fat or damaging cell structure in tissues deeper than the target. What are your honest opinions about Picosure regarding the above?
I've gotten some bruises in the same place that resulted in light hemosiderin staining. I want to get rid of it, and I saw that the Q-switched ruby laser was the best idea, but treatments are fairly pricy. I'm somewhat wary of doing a laser treatment on myself. Should I try it anyway, or does it seem too risky? What are some other options to get rid of the staining?
A few years ago, I decided I wanted to have a tattoo removed and went to tattoo removal consultation with a well-respected doctor in my city. He advised against the removal since the tattoo was against the chest bone and he felt confident it would cause scarring. Thinking lasers may have advanced in the last few years, I contacted another doctor who said he was confident that he could remove my tattoo and didn't seem concerned at all. His laser is the Cynosure Picosure laser. Thoughts?
