Recently diagnosed with rosacea and am currently looking at cosmetic treatments. My main issues that need addressing is the redness, flushing, and post inflammatory erythema (acne) spots. Ive read a lot about VBeam when it comes to rosacea, but my derm only offers the Excel V. They also offer Photodynamic Therapy, which Ive heard a lot about. Which laser or treatment do you think would be best for my concerns? I know rosacea cant be cured, but I want to make it as invisible as possible.
I got a severe phototoxicty reaction when I had ALA Photodynamic therapy. 3 hours incubation, activated by omnilux re 633 for 10 minutes. I had excessive crusting and peeling, which left my skin red and raw. It has been 6 weeks and my skin still has red areas. I was told this is from new blood vessel formation and increased blood flow. Will this go away in a timely manner, or am I going to have to get the v beam laser or something to get rid of the new vessles and redness? thank you
I have had the Levulan with IPL treatment 3 times over the last three years. The first two times were by the same office and my face reacted the same way - very red, swollen and then a peeling period for about 6/7 days. The results were amazing. This last time was by another office and my face was barely red for an hour and there was no swelling and very little peeling - the peeling was finished after 3 days. Do you think the last treatment was adminstered incorrectly?
2 days ago I had levulon with phototherapy. During the application I noticed and mentioned that I was afraid the levulon was not applied uniformly. Now I have well demarcated stripelike areasof redness. And one side is barely pink while the other is more red. I love the plastic surgeon and the staff are very nice. But Ive had some minor issues such as being accidently over charged, scheduled for a wrong procedure and no prior phone call to change the appointment. They seem sloppy
Hello, A week after the procedure , I have not experienced any tingling /redness/peeling during or / after the procedure. Also, and my precancerous cells feel the same ( like dry patch). Did the therapy work? Every site I have read up on, the I individual experiencing redness/peeling /tightness/ swelling . I had spf on my face prior to the procedure and used face wipes to clean, and then wiped with alcohol pad, prior to the solution being applied. I'm wondering if this did not take? Thx
I had an ALA(Aminolevulinic Acid)-PDT (Photodynamic therapy) treatment done and got a severe reaction with scabs and blisters. Some of the scabs and blisters came off early. I am left with these red areas on my cheeks for 5 months now. They were always red but level. Is this scar tissue or just redness? Is there a way I can tell? I had 3 V-beams but is is pink now so I assume I need more treatments. When I put pressure on the areas, blood goes away for that split second, I see my normal skin color. Thank you.
