2 days ago I had levulon with phototherapy. During the application I noticed and mentioned that I was afraid the levulon was not applied uniformly. Now I have well demarcated “stripelike” areasof redness. And one side is barely pink while the other is “more red”. I love the plastic surgeon and the staff are very nice. But I’ve had some minor issues such as being accidently over charged, scheduled for a wrong procedure and no prior phone call to change the appointment. They seem sloppy

PDT causes oxidation and this results in inflammation of the skin and controlled cell death, this means that skin peeling is commonly seen. This will settle in a few days. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Your dermatologist will advice you - depending on the location. If its facial PDT, 48-72 plus hours, if its on the leg, one week. Really depends. Be guided by your dermatologist. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
