Lipoma Removal + Grow Back Q&A

In the last 2 years i have had a Lipoma on the top of my head removed and it came back, removed again and it came back again. It seems to stay gone a few months and then return. Im wondering if i keep getting it removed, will it inevitably always come back? Another question, after having it removed, i swear i still felt there was about a bit in there, about 10% of the original size. So if the doctor missed some, is that why its not staying gone?

I had a lipoma on my forehead removed and another one grew back in the exact same position within 3 months. I have never had any other lipomas. Did the surgeon fail to remove the original lipoma properly?

The lipoma was removed 10 yrs ago and a few later it began to grow back. It is the same size as before. It is about the size of golf ball or larger and it is near or on my left shoulder blade. It is noticeable.

I have had 3 lipoma removal surgeries within the past 2-3 years, in exactly the same location. The first two were 6 inches long and the third was 4. I had a disc fusion surgery about 4 years ago on my L5S1 and this is the same area where the lipomas are growing. I do not know if that has anything to do with it and the doctors can't give me any answers as to why they keep coming back.

I was having a lot of pain in my right knee. I had a lump as hard as bone the size of a golf ball on the side of my knee. Family doctor sent me to see a orthopaedic surgeon. He did multiple test and then the In August I had it removed. He said it was a lipoma and was harmless, he said he got it all! Two months later I noticed the lump starting again. Now pain is back knee buckles on me and will wake me up at night from pain. Surgeon wants to remove it again. Is this going to keep coming back ?

What was removed was a mass of fatty tissue that somehow gathered and formed the visible bump. Seems like the skin where the bump used to be was loose and 10 months later bump is coming back.

I'm 25 years old and just got diagnosed with multiple lipomas in my mid to lower back. They are generally small right now, and only cause a little pain here and there. I have noticed most form on my hip bone, and one or two are next to my spine. Should I have these removed now? How quickly do they grow? Do they always get bigger? I don't want scarring, nor do I want them to start showing! Also, will I get lipomas elsewhere on my body? Please help!
