After a breast reduction surgery 20 years ago, a cyst/lipoma has been growing under one arm pit. It's grown from the size of an egg to the size of a small avocado now. It's hard to wear many tops/blouses/bras, because it takes up more room than my normal side. It also sticks way out when I wear something with thin/no straps. What is the best doctor to remove this? What is the most cost effective? I live in San Diego and I have Anthem PPO, but pretty sure it won't be covered. Thank you.
3 days ago I had a lympoma removed from my left hand side next to my breast. What was thought to be a 5 mins op took over an hour as it was bigger than first thought ( about 7cm by 7cm) plus it was in between muscle. Under a local anesthetic which had to be topped up throughout. I have some bruising today on my breast and have some numbness on the other side of the area since the operation, should I worry?
A couple days ago I had a mammogram and ultrasound due to the enlargement of my right breast, (I am 19 years old). The radiologist said it was a 5-6 INCH fatty tumor called lipoma, and that it doesn't turn into anything serious and I only need it removed if I want to. Well, I read more about them and now I'm stressing myself out. With it being that large and uncomfortable, should I get a biopsy to make sure it isn't sarcoma? Thank you for any help you can give.
In February I noticed a lump underneath my left breast on my rib cage. I went to the doctor and he sent me for an ultrasound and diagnosed it as a lipoma. Because of the location there is pain and tenderness so I was referred to a Cosmetic Surgeon. I went in for Surgery in April under local anesthetic. After cutting me open the surgeon could not find the lipoma and said it was too deep and he could not remove it under local anesthetic. Now, it is more painful and I would still like to remove it.
