My eyes were red before lasik from giant papillary Conjuctivitus and now six weeks post lasik they seem worse. How soon is to safe to use a steroid drop to try and reduce the redness and other symptoms? Also will waiting too long make the red become permenant?
I have a dull headache in the back of my head since Lasik 6 weeks ago. I corrected for -8OS and -7.5OD. I had a flap lift 3 weeks in on my right eye and still have blurry vision in that eye. The headaches got worse after the flap lift. My corneal specialist says everything is healing fine. I haven't had stable vision yet so I hope once the right eye heals it will be better. Could this be refractive or neurological? I have no eye pain or discomfort, just the dull pain in the brain.
I had lasik surgery about 6 weeks ago and my eyes are about 20/20 (+.5 in my left and +.25 in my right) for distance but my mid-distance is not what I expected. If I walk around with +1's on everything is very good (would still need reading glasses but I'm 54 so I expected that). Once my eyes are healed and if my mid-distance doesn't improve, can I get an enhancement that would make me see as if I'm wearing +1's? The +1's don't hamper my distance vision by much.
Will a rough spot on the eye 6 weeks post lasik resolve itself after use of antibiotics and steroids. It is quite bothersome and annoying. Everything was healing fine up until a week ago. My left eye is great! I am on antibiotic and steroid drops for a week and go back for a follow up. I have not seen improvement thus far with the drops. Will the eye smooth out and get better? Or is this permanent? What can I expect...
42 years old, had LASIK 6 weeks ago for myopia. Non-dominant eye was slightly overcorrected, about ~+0.25, the dominant eye is slightly undercorrected, ~-0.25. I have noticed when I work on the computer I can read fine, but when I look up at a distant object my dominant eye is extremely blurry, non-dominant eye has fine vision. Blurriness goes away after 5-10 minutes, but eye feels strained. I can still read small print fine. The dominant eye has been really dry since surgery. Cause of this?
I am using drops like refresh liquigel or celluvisc every 20 min. I use restatsis two times a day and use ointment at night. Also, I have my top eyelids plugged. My eyes hurt and burn all the time and are constantly read. The doctor said my tot test came back with 301 which is above the normal rate for an eye. I am currently about 6 weeks post op and sleekly answers desperately. I am only 25 years old and feel depressed over this. Please help.
I had Lasik 1.5 month ago. My left eye is still blurry and much more dry than the right eye.The bluriness affects smaller objects or details in far out objects , but overall distance vision is fine (probably due to the right eye strength).when I use the eye drops in the left eye the vision improves for 3-4 minuts after that it starts decreasing. When I asked my doctor about this situation he told me that it will take around 3 months to recover. and also advised to increase frequency of eye drops.
