Hello, I'm a 27F who has tried Alexandrite laser sessions 3 times in row. After the session (total body first 2 appointments and 3rd only half lower body with Candela Gentlemax Pro laser) in 4-5 hours or even a day, I end up feeling sick with headaches, chills that last over an hour and overall fatigue and loss of appetite. Should I continue the remaining sessions? Is there an analysis or test I could do in order to find out why I am experiencing these awful side effects? Thank you!
Generally I am blonde, on legs and bikini have thin and fine hair, but both blond and half darker( not very dark, but long ones), my skin is light color. I want to decide which one is better for this type of skin : Alexandrite Lazer ( Candella Gentlelase Pro-U or Polylase LP) or Diode ( Soprano Ice Platinum) .
Male in 30's, Fitzpatrick skin type II to III, black body hair, interested in thinning dense/long leg hair, legs are untanned. It seems I can use Alexandrite or diode, most would likely suggest Alexandrite for me. Most posts recommend >4-6 treatments, but their goal is total clearance, which I do NOT want. I want a natural appearance with reduced hair. Roughly how many sessions should I plan on, and is it possible to achieve a natural look? Maybe 2-3 sessions? Thank you in advance.
I'm a skin 3 type woman with PCOS. I've done 4 sessions of the Alexandrite laser to my sideburns and upper lips. I'm seeing a lot of improvement in the treated area, however the vellus hairs of the periphery such as the jaw area are now more noticeable and long. Is this what we called Paradoxical hair growth? And what should I do in this case to prevent the regrowth of the hair?
I just got laser hair removal on my hairline and sideburns. I am Mexican and so I have medium/brown skin. They used the alexandrite laser on me, Is this bad because I have read that the YAG was better fitted for my skin color. ? Should I request for them to use the yag next time I go? I also walk to work everyday and I know sun exposure will cause some difficulties, how can I prevent this? When hair grows back can I shave it ?
I have fair skin and most of the hairs on my body are fine and a brown colour and grow long, so I would like to know which laser will work best Diode OR Alexandrite. I am aware nd:Yag is not a good option for fine hair.
Would like a professional opinion on BIOS Square Epil Laser, please. Blended emission of Alexandrite/Nd:YAG at 130J, 270 watts, maximum spot size 30mm at a speed of 3Hz specs sound promising. Is anyone able to compare its efficiency for fair skin with dark to medium dark medium thickness hair to the following lasers: Cynosure Elite, Candela GentleLase/Candela GentleMax, Lumenis Lightsheer? Context: I'm a dark haired Caucasian woman of Slavic origin (light skin, currently no tan) Thank you
Clinic 1 Has: Gentle Max Pro. Skin type detected: Type 3 Treatment is done solely by Alexandrite. It's effective for my skin type with thick ingrown hairs with regarding to a melanin absorption. Dont go between lasers as it can affect the end result. Clinic two Has: Gentle Yag, candela) Skin type detected Type 4 My skin has a lots of melanins although it is relatively light therefore Alexandrite and Diode can burn. And for thick ingrown men's facial hairs, Yag is the best choice.
