When edema forms in lower eyelids after Voluma to the upper cheeks, and does not resolve after multiple rounds of hyaluronidase what is the best treatment to get rid of the residual edema? Edema meaning edema after Voluma, and not present before fillers. (An option that does not thin the skin any further in already thin under eye skin that shows veins underneath, and provides tightening from loosened skin as a result of being overfilled is preferred.) Thanks.
Since hearing recently there is evidence that HA fillers dont really dissolve on the own especially if they are cross linked (new mri research). I was wondering if there is anything else that helps break down crosslinked H.A fillers. Even if this process is a lot slower. The potential consequences of hyloranadaise does not seem with it.
Almost a year ago I had filler injected in my tear trough. It looked uneven so I went in to my Dr to check & she chose to dissolve one side. Later that evening my face started to swell but my physician said it should be fine. Kept on swelling & she kept reassuring. She prescribed high-dose antibiotics but nothing happened. When it finally settled down I realized my face was uneven. Fast fwd a year later & I now hate smiling. The more I smile the more it shows.I just want my face back.
I went to a doctor with 10 years experience in aesthetic medicine but unfortunately I got poor results. He put too much Teosyal in my lip line and I had lumps, bumps and cyst formation in my lips. I tried to dissolve it with hyaluronidase but it made things even worse as I had an allergic reaction to it and got severe swelling, Im on a day 2 of Prednisone 50 mg. Anything else I can do to fix it? Can I lance the lower bumps out or use a human derived hyaluronidase?
I posted two days ago about my extreme regret of having upper eyelid filler and asked doctors how they could recommend such a horrible dissolver such as hyaluronidase. Many physicians jumped to say that they have always used it with no issues and ignored the fact that there is medical proof that it destroys the skin, such as the images I attached below from another realself member who suffered horrible tissue damage. Can saline solution be injected and break the filler up instead?
I had upper eye filler about 18 months ago and I am SEVERELY depressed over my decision. The filler isnt botched but I truly miss my old eyes and fear I will never get them back again. I tried massaging the filler but it doesnt flatten. Hyaluronidase is NOT an option as there are hundreds of accounts with pictures CLEARLY showing tissue damage so I dont understand how any physician can recommend this. Filler can last 6 years in this area and I cant handle that. What other options do I have left?
