I've had five (5) hair transplants, all smaller procedures of about 1000 grafts each and all FUT. The first four all worked well but this last one has failed entirely and I don't understand why? Same surgeon, same technique each time, and I followed the aftercare regimen carefully as always. I am more than 9 months post-op and have ZERO results, no growth at all whatsoever. This has always worked before and so am extremely confused and down and searching for answers. Please help!
I am 6 months into my hair transplant. So far it's been poor results. I'd say only about 50% of the grafts have survived. kept asking them how many grafts I was getting. I asked 5 times and every answer is you will find out tomorrow. Found out next morning I got 4300 grafts. An insane amount at 28 years old with only receding temples. And My main question is why were so many grafts placed in my middle region where I had decent coverage. Also would like input on how bad it is at 6 months and if it will get better, how much better. Thanks to all for the help.
I got hair transplant in November 2020. I was originally advised to get 2200 grafts to fill in zone 1 and 2 during remote consultation. But on day of surgery we agreed to increase to 2700 grafts. The results 13 months later show very little density. My surgeon reassured me that the final results are amazing, and any dissatisfaction I have is because I am a perfectionist.
The opening coming out of the scalp is so large, they are spaced so far apart with many double and triple hairs coming out of some of the follicles. It's been 10 months (Nov. 2021), I've been micro needling and using essential oils. I really hate to get a corrective surgery because of the down time because I can't be home that long but it looks so bad in person. Would scalp micro-pigmentation make it look weird? It looks like bad hair plugs of the early 2000's.
By that, I mean not the post-procedure dandruff that arises but PREEXISTING dandruff. Will it compromise the surgery in any way? While my case of dandruff is chronic, it isn't that severe. There aren't any dermatitis symptoms like scabbing, pus, or pruritus. I know we're advised to treat it aggressively prior to the operation, namely with anti-dandruff shampoos; however, I've done so with no noticeable improvement. I really don't think it'll clear up in time.
I'm 21 years old. I did a hair transplant. It seemed to be success. But in the 6th month, I found that my hair wasn't growing enough. I consulted the doctor about it. He told me to look at his blood values. had b12, Fe, Zn deficiency . I'll take them now. Do you think that's why my hair doesn't grow out, or is there any other reason behind it? And when I get these, will it come back? I'd appreciate it if you'd give me an emergency return:)
