Hi, I have been recommended to do the duodenal switch surgery by my doctor . One of the complications in the future that I am most worried about is a bowl obstruction. How common is this post duodenal switch surgery and is this something I could avoid?
Female 225 lbs 5'7 BMI 35 Slight sleep apnea and taking prescription medication for acid reflux. Dr. Recommended DS instead of Sleeve due to the Sleeve not always alleviating acid reflux. Told me that I probably won't need to diet before surgery due to chance of BMI going under 35 I would like to know if a DS is too severe or drastic due to my BMI not being very high? I read you loose 1 lb a day with the DS? I have to choose between the two &, need some guidance to do so. Thank yo
