Hi I'm 38, my teeth are in good condition however I broke a canine 12 years ago due to grinding. I was advised at the time to leave it but it has become painful. I'm currently undergoing root canal but my dentist is ensure he will be able to complete it as there is calcification, he applied something to try and wear this away and am due a follow up. If I lose the tooth what is the best option for replacement? And what option can be implemented while pregnant?
I'm 37, female. Post crown fitted to upper front central incisor snapped at gum line. I believe that it failed due to my bad overject/overbite, was advised that this was not the cause. 2 lower 1st molars extracted recently due to old infection. In order to make my teeth meet to chew, my lower jaw is forced back more than ever which causes strain on it. Will dental implant fail like the crown did? I was advised that orthodontics treatment is not necessary. Dental implant/other viable option?
I recently started experiencing pain in my dental implant after eating an apple. It's been 2 years since implant, my upper front tooth, 2 implants, and I've had no issues until now. I went to the dentist who did the procedure and had 3D exam and no issues seen from 3D. I have very good oral hygiene and healthy. I am 40 years old, 6'1 tall and 180 lbs. I don't want to get it pulled, what else could I try? Is there any holistic? Frustrated....
Hello, I'm 37 years old. I had all upper teeth extracted after over 100k spent on my mouth in the 30 years. Just finally got my temporary (healing) 6 implant bridge after 10 months of bone grafting and dentures. It's day 3 after getting bridge. My upper lip is long. Why is this? I'm afraid it's going to age me. What needs to be done in order to get my upper lip back. Is this common? Thank you so much for answers. Mary
Hello, First of all thank you everyone for your input. I am 35 yrs old. I have #7 on top broken. My dentist recommends new permanent implant. I asked my friend who is a dentist too and he said post and core. Right now I have a splint in place so the broken teeth doesn't fall. Thank you
I am 36 yrs old and I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted. 5 mos back I had #18 extracted due to a failed root canal. Had a bone graft place as I was thinking of getting an implant for #18. It caused an infection and #19 ended up having a root canal and crown. I am dreading the thought of an implant due to the infection history. Do I need an implant for #18? How much longer can I wait as I pretty much ran out of insurance money for this year.
I am a 38 year old female in good health. I got one dental implant installed in the back lower molar. A couple of weeks after installation I started suffering horrific headaches. Before the implant installation I rarely ever had headaches. The top of my head is pounding. I have pain that radiates down my neck and between my eyes. I can't sleep at night because my head is pounding. This occurs all day. I take headache medication to sleep but it eventually wears off and I wake up with headaches.
I am a 39 yr old single mom on a budget. I have 2 missing upper teeth (I had a partial done and it doesn't fit + I can't even talk or eat) but I have 4-5 other broken teeth and multiple cavities but terrified and embarrassed to even see a dentist. My teeth are broken/cracked from clinching too. I'm SO scared and embarrassed. I haven't smiled or eaten in front of anyone in 2 years. Tired of hurting, hiding in my home and being depressed. Humiliation.....please help me. I have dental insurance.
Im 38 yo and just had a baby tooth removed. Its the 3rd tooth from the bottom back on the right side.I have no adult tooth under there.I got the flipper yesterday and the dr is talking about an implant.I really dont have the extra money for it right now and Im a smoker. Questions:if I dont get the implant and just wear the flipper will it harm my other teeth in any way?If I do get the implant whats the timeframe for not smoking and if the implant goes wrong can that destroy my other teeth?
I'm a 36 year old non smoker. This is my first major dental work, just a few cavaties. I had a botched filling which resulted in me needing an implant. When they placed the implant t the surgeon said I had plenty of bone. But when I got the abutment it looked incredibly crooked. Will this work? When I went to my regular dentist the hygienist aid she's never seen an implant at that angle. The dentist said it should work with a custom abutment. Is he trying to Cover for the surgeon he recommended?
