Im currently a 42L and desperately need a breast reduction. The weight of my breasts combined with my fibromyalgia have made walking or standing incredibly painful. Im almost bed bound. Im currently 310 lbs I know I need lose weight. But I cant exercise because of the weight of my breasts and Ive already lost 150lbs and they didnt get any smaller.
Im 54 and 270lbs. My size is triple Ds. Im currenly seeing a rheumatologist and an breast surgeon for chronic granulomatous mastitis. Ive been to hospitals and my primary doctor for back, neck and shoulder pain. When I asked for a reduction I was told I had fibromyalgia and that a breast reduction is not an option. Now Im seeing a plastic surgeon for a breast reduction. Im afraid it wont get approved. What are my chances it will? I have Anthem blue cross.
I have arthritis, hypermobility and fibromyalgia. Im also 51 with size G breasts. I believe a breast reduction will help with the pain. I want to move forward with it but I dont know the steps to take and I dont know if my (BC Government Disability) insurance will cover the cost- or at least some of it. In short: How do I move forward with possibly getting a breast reduction?
I was diagnosed in 2011 with Fibromyalgia and in 1/2014 with mild scleroderma meaning my symptoms are minimal (joint pain/generalized pain). Should I expect problems with healing after my procedures? Should I expect the pain to be severe? I will off my medications 2 weeks before until 2 weeks after surgery. I've been taking Savella 50mg BID for 3 years and Plaquenil 200mg BID since 1/2014. I am weaning myself off now, with my doctor's oversight, in order to have surgery. Any words of wisdom?
I had breast reduction surgery 13 years ago. For 2 years after surgery, I had several sites where the dissolvable stitches came to the surface of the skin and pushed through. Something very similar happened last night and I pulled out approximately 1/2 an inch of what looked like gelatinous thread. I will see the doctor about this. My question is - I was diagnosed with autoimmune disorder 3 years after surgery and Fibromyalgia 8 years after surgery - is there possibly a link to the stitches?
