I hope this question doesn't sound silly. So, if I have 650cc implants after a double mastectomy, can sleeping on my stomach eventually cause my ribs to cave in slightly? I wouldn't want to end up with less space for my lungs as I age. Thanks for your answers, I hope this question wasn't too ridiculous!!
Hi I've had my gummy bear implants for 4 years, I had a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery all at one time, breast cancer related. In less than a year my left one has had fluid build up. So much so that last time, they took out over 2 cups. It's happening again and I'm due to get it drained on Thursday. Both times while i was sleeping. My question is have you ever experienced This? My surgeon won't take it out. It's extremely uncomfortable and burns.
I had bilateral mastectomy with TE August 2016. Expanders replaced with implants 2 weeks ago. When I sleep on my back or side it feels like the muscles and implants are pulling down. When I get up I feel like I have to hold my breasts close for support. I only feel comfortable when I sleep in the recliner with the arms supporting me. I still feel like I have an iron bra on. Is this part of the healing process and, How long before it gets better? Will the filling of having a bra on go away?
I am about 7 months removed from my reconstruction following a prophylactic mastectomy. I am your perfectly healthy 25 year old whose recovery was nothing but normal. One day I realized my right breast was larger (swollen) than normal and was irritated. Not the skin but under the tissue. Its gotten uncomfortable enough that it wakes me up at night, I can no longer sleep on my belly (I was able to a few months after). What is going on? My surgeon said my implant is intact and not impacted.
I keep waking up on my stomach, and I recently underwent breast reconstitution surgery. I try to sleep on my back but it is very uncomfortable to me and I guess I just turn over in the middle of the night, am I causing any ill effects by this? I am 10 days post op and still in moderate- severe pain.
