I am 2 weeks post op with 305cc implants. I have no increase in swelling, heat or redness but I am experiencing a sensation like that of mastitis, a flu like tingling feverishness in my breasts. Is this a normal sensation for this stage of recovery or something that needs to be followed up.
I had amy breast augmentation exactly a week ago. I am very sick! I almost feel like I have the flu! I have ups and downs...one minute I'm fine and the next I'm sick! I only ok if I'm sitting and not moving around to much! Is this normal for some people? How long will this last? What can I do to help myself?
Felt incredibly sick, sever flu-like symptoms (popping joints, aching shoulders, chest pressure, popping middle of back), feel some better, now on antibiotics. Have a doc app on Mon. w/ a MD, breast specialist, to rule out anything related with the breast tissue (had a mamo, & doc was unfamiliar with the halo around my R-implant) Want to make sure I am heading in the right direction? I am looking for a PS in California, who deals with this specific issue? thank you for your time and insight.
Hi! I got breast implants 8 months ago and LOVE them! I got a sore throat, congestion, head cold type thing a few days ago. No fever but one of my armpits was tender and swollen. I'm feeling much better but I am concerned because I'm now learning that some doctors believe that such infections/illnesses can allow bacteria to seed on implants causing capsular contracture. Is this really true? Should I be concerned? Is there anything I can do now to prevent that from happening? Thank you!
