Hello, I have smoker wrinkles. I have tried Botox/Restylane Silk. The problem with the Botox is that it is injected into my vermilion border. This only prevents me from pursing and creating wrinkles that would form directly above the vermilion (lipstick bleed lines). But my lines are closer to my nostrils, like whiskers. Even after the Botox I can still purse/pout lips and create dynamic lines. Is there a better place to inject to get desired preventative effect. They are getting much worse.
I have mild smokers lines (however Not from smoking) on my upper lip which has also lost volume. One Dr recommended Botox, where another said even a small amount of Botox in the upper lip can cause issues with mouth movement. I am not a candidate for laser. Id love to hear if the best result does come from botox, or filler, and if filler, which one specifically, and Id like to add in a bit of volume- very little. Thanks in advance!
Help! About a month ago I had Botox in my masseters, DAOs, platysmas, & forehead/brows. Ever since I have deep/visible smokers lines that were barely there before (I dont smoke or use straws). Its worse when I talk or eat & feels funny. What could have caused this and can it be fixed? Thank you! PS: Its hard to see in the after photo & the reason Im all red is because I had microneedling yesterday. I also have .5 of a syringe of lip filler. 52 yr old, caucasian, healthy, female.
I posted a few days ago about Botox above upper lip for smoker's lines and I thank you all for your reply. It is now 4 days now since 4 droplets of Botox was administered to my upper lip under my nose ( 7 units total to forehead and upper lip). I now have a pulling sensation by my nose when I smile. It is extremely uncomfortable! I have had filler to my lip previously but now I look like marge Simpson. I cannot smile!! What can I do to decrease the profusion and stiffness I have?!
I had this done once and was extremely pleased with results, then the second time(last week) had it done at the same place but by the NP instead of Dr. One side of my mouth doesn't turn up and the other does! Help.
Hi. I had botox to my upper and lower lip for smokers lines 3 days ago and noticed the effects within 24 hours and am still noticing them now day 3....it kicked in earlier than most and i am an emotional wreck hoping it doesnt continue to work for much longer as i am already having difficulty eating and talking and am noticing sagging at on corner of my mouth. How long will it keep getting worse and will it wear off faster around my mouth than other areas?
I had botox to my upper lip two days ago to get rid of the smokers lines. My injector did not put a large amount, but already i'm noticing a flattening of my upper lip and it looks longer than before. Is this possible for the lip to descend with botox? I hate the way it looks and I feel like I look like a muppet. Im scared to see what it will look like in 2 weeks!
I had Botox on smoker lines in June, 2015. It was the first time I ever had it done in this area. Of course this only provided a bit of freezing for a short period of time. These lines drive me insane. I bought the Tria laser and started using it on 8/22/15 but I really haven't noticed any improvement. I'm afraid filler might cause bumps since The lines are shallow. Any advice, suggestions?
