Hi, I had an arm lift revision just on the upper part of my arm 12 days ago. As I was pulling the tape off of the incision to clean it, thick light green fluid started oozing from a small hole in the incision. Is it normal for it to be leaking fluid or is this a sign of infection? Thank you.
It doesn't appear infected. Should I see my PS? What should I do for healing? I must have over-done things a bit. But I honestly don't know what I actually did to have the incision open like this.
I'm on day 3 after my mini arm lift which was done with twilight anesthesia. I was told that after 48 hours, I could briefly remove my compression garment for a sponge bath. When I tried to take it off, I felt a very sharp nerve pinching pain on one of my elbow areas that also was a tingly, so I kept the garment on. I'm wondering if that area is infected? My garment was also unable to be closed up all the way right after the surgery (swelling and breast size maybe).
I had a bilateral arm lift performed in April, 2015. I developed an infection and had to have the staples in my axilla area removed after 6 days post op. I was left with large hole in the armpits. The right one closed after 2 months;left one after 4 months is still closing. While it is mostly closed now, I am left with limited range of motion. It feels like a pulled muscle when I move the arm in certain directions such as putting on my bra or trying to scratch my back. Any suggestions?
