I recently noticed that my right arm pit started leaking yellowish odorless discharge and got a bit afraid. I asked my ps and he said its normal but last night I noticed that my wound is slightly bigger. Again I was advised to keep it clean and apply Platsul A to help with the healing but I am not sure if this requires a visit to the ER or not. Any suggestions, is this considered an open wound or is it part of the healing process?
Is this normal after arm lipo? I am 3 weeks post op arm lipo. Im noticing this weird rippling/indenting on my arms. Both are about in the same spots. I spoke to my surgeon who blamed it on the garment bunching but it doesnt at all. He said to massage it. Im currently living states away and cant do an in office visit. Is this normal and what can I do for it?
I had extended brachioplasty done 6/20/18—less than three weeks ago. when is it okay to resume driving? what is the average time? my incisions go from elbow to armpit then zigzag and go down my sides. left a message for doctor but still havent heard back. what is average time frame?
I am 3 weeks out from an arm lift. I have been healing well - minor issues like a small hole in the right armpit and a yeast infection on both arms have resolved. I'm still wearing compression 24/7. I have tenderness in my right forearm, my surgeon said it is probably just nerve damage that will go away. My right arm is bigger (more swollen) than my left, and this is even evident comparing my wrists (one is 6 inches, the other 7.25 inches). Should I be concerned? FYI, I'm right handed.
3 weeks ago I had a scar revision zplasty because armpit was webbing and I couldn't stretch; implant exchange pocket revision. original brachioplasty scars that extend to my elbow are extremely painful. I've tried silicone sheets, mederma, oil, coco butter, lazer and am just miserable. My zplasty also busted open so the armpit scar is horrendous. Any one have any suggestions on treatment, I am just miserable. I realize they did a lot of surgery removing 2lb from each arm. Thank you!
Hi, I had revision scar surgery and Lipo on 05/08/18 on my arms. My left arm has a hard lump, numbness and hurts. It's been 3 weeks now and my left arm is hard as rock. Please give me some insight. Is this normal?
I'm 3 weeks post op from arm lift (and implant revision). Problem with right arm from start-- allergic to medipore tape and now extreme redness/itching, which seems to be aggravated by compression sleeves. Currently take Claritin D daily and moisturize with Rose hip oil (recommended scar treatment by my doc). Scar is closed with scabs but unsure what else I can put on it to ease the itchiness. Please help!!
Treating superficial necrosis /sloughing on L arm. When I am up and a bit more active, my arms get so tight and swollen. I see on here so many go back to work at 3 weeks. I cannot imagine pulling full shifts! I included a photo. Did PS remove enough? I have a large amount of fascia and am predisposed to large arms genetically. Over the last 2.5 years I have lost 140 pounds through diet and exercise. I am cautiously pleased with results, but curious to get others feedback.
Hi I have a big hold in my arm pit and wanted to know if it's healing properly! My dr told me just soap and water and keep it dry and clean. It started with a lot of thick discharge and turned into just liquid to now discharge is slowing down!! The hole look to be getting bigger However there's this white looking layer that is growing and spreading. Is this signs that it's healing properly? Can someone explain what this is? I need help this is becoming depressing!
