I'm always afraid to smile because my teeth look horrible ..my face look long... I want to get opinion if my bite can be corrected without jaw surgery ......do I have a underbite?crossbite?
Answer: Absolutely Possible to Correct Without Surgery Your upper dental arch is way underdeveloped. This can be corrected nicely with arch development. Make sure you select a doctor who understands the relationship between tooth movement and facial aesthetics. You do NOT need to sacrifice any teeth to have a beautiful smile; in fact, you will have a far more beautiful smile if you do not remove teeth.Good luck!

Answer: Non surgical treatment possible You have a lot of crowding and your teeth and jaws are positioned forward relative to the rest of your facial features. (Your upper jaw is not "underdeveloped", the forward position of the teeth and jaw is why the gums show above the teeth when you smile.) Extractions are absolutely necessary in your case. An orthodontist may also suggest small anchor pins to gain the most amount of movement in your front teeth while preventing unwanted movement in your back teeth.

Answer: It's possible! Find yourself a good local orthodontist by looking through this site. Your crossbite can be easily corrected with braces. You may have to sacrifice few teeth for space but it's very possible! Good luck
