If I get my braces in Mexico can I do my check-ups in the United States?

Every orthodontist uses different combinations of braces and wires to achieve his or her desired result.  Braces may look the same but there are 3 different sizes of slots and the angles the slots are cut into the braces come in multiple angles and each orthodontist has his or her preference.  The position of each brace on the each tooth also is an individual preference and no two orthodontists are the same.  Almost all orthodontists in the US will tell you they will remove the braces and start from the beginning with their braces and you will even be charged extra for the removal of the braces (I takes a lot of time to get the glue off).  I have had multiple patients show up in my office with braces placed while visiting or on vacation in Mexico and I started over every time for all of the reasons above.
