What is a typical cost for a lap band adjustment if not covered by insurance?

My insurance is USFHP Christus and their provider directory does not list any that will do lap band adjustments. What is the typical fee for an adjustment? My lap band surgery was done in 2008 and the last adjustment was done about 4 years ago.

I think this is on the low side. The price is highly variable. Just make sure you go to a program that performs these adjustments on a regular basis. The right kind of needle in an office-based setting. I would avoid fluoroscopy (X-ray).

When Lap Band adjustments aren't covered by insurance the costs can range depending on the practice you visit. The costs typically vary between $250 and $750. I've sees a little higher depending on the surgeon, but in general Lap-Band adjustments are covered by insurance and you really need to get in there and get adjusted or at least be evaluated. Whether you need an adjustment because without adjusting an adjustable gastric band it's not really doing the best job it can to help you lose the weight you want to.

We charge $150 for a routine band adjustment.  Up to $250 is probably reasonable.  I'm adding this extra sentence because my answer has to be at least 100 characters.
