Has my bracket been put on wrong? It doesn't look right and hurts. (photos)

Question

My Braket has been put on to the side and is tilted, therefore my tooth has been moved back and sideways. Its so annoying cause it was straight before i got braces. It Also really hurts and i can feel it sticking out in my mouth. I told my ortho but she dint really listen or tell me why. I just need to know why this is happening.

Hi there,
this looks ok to me.  The tooth it is on is very rotated so when the bracket is put on the correct surface it looks out of place.  Once the tooth straightens up to its correct position the bracket will be in the right place for that tooth and on the wire.  Teeth that are rotated and have brackets on them can feel strange and stick in - this will improve over time. 
In terms of pain - teeth that are very twisted can have slightly different forces on them when the bracket is engaged in the wire.  Due to the teeth turning more at the moment, there can be more discomfort.
If you are concerned, however, you should contact your orthodontist for advice.
