My braces were removed January 26 I noticed my eyes/face started swelling in October, shortly after my last adjustment. My orthodontist told me my jaw was tired and not to worry my braces would be off soon. The problem has worsened since they've been off. I went back to see him and he told me to consult a TMJ specialist, because my muscles are working to hard. I'm scared because I just paid 6,800 for braces and I'm now having jaw problems I didn't have prior. Why are the muscles working to hard?
