Why am I losing short hairs after 4 months of telogen effluvium?

About 4.5 mnths ago I started an episode of TE & was loosing 500+ per day. This came after having: thyroid imbalance, minor surgery and a few weeks of intense stress. I started counting hairs, and after 3 mnths I noticed the # of hairs drop to about 150 per day, and new baby hair sprouting out. NOW I count around 70 LONG hairs a day BUT seeing many SHORT ones (more than before) in sink/on floor. Am I loosing all new hair that's growing out? Why am I loosing them? Did my TE end or still going?

Early balding is best determined with an instrument called HAIRCHECK which measures the loss of hair bulk in different parts of the scalp and shows hair loss before you can see it with the naked eye

Minoxidil may not be efficient any more to stop heavy genetic hair loss and you may need an another supportive treatment to combat with hair loss.

The juvenile hairline usually changes to a mature hairline by the time you will reach 29 if you are a Caucasian. If differs with races somewhat. Balding has nothing to do with the presence of a juvenile hairline
