I believe my double chin is caused by my small/weak chin, but I’ve noticed that a lot patients get genioplasty in conjunction with liposuction. Is sliding genioplasty alone usually good enough to fix a double chin?

Those are all symptoms that sound more consistent with scar contracture/scar tissue into the bony stepoff than nerve damage. Knowing how much your chin was advanced would be helpful information also.
Both the procedures have advantages and disadvantages. It seems to me that plastic surgeons seem to be more in favor of using chin implants while oral surgeons seem to be more of the school of sliding genioplasty.
