Can I get a V line face shape with fillers?

Fillers have become popular for improving facial shape, as an appreciation of the contours of a youthful face have become as important as smoothness and firmness.  A non-surgical method of improving facial shape is with "volumizing" fillers, such as Radiesse, Voluma, and Sculptra.  These fillers either actually stimulate your body to produce more of its own collagen protein or have enough strength to hold tissues up or out for quite some time. These fillers are often placed deep along the surface of the cheek bones to lift out the soft tissue, creating a v- or heart-shaped fullness of the youthful face.    This will counteract the natural aging change of skin and soft tissue sagging downward, thus creating a flatter cheek area and fuller jowl area in the lower face.   You should seek out a plastic surgeon experienced in treating the aging face to discuss your concerns and desired shape, so that the right fillers or even surgery can be recommended.

Facial contouring with fillers is an art and is possible.  You have to see someone who is an expert at filler injections.  I frequently use cannulas to fill large volumes and reshape peoples faces.  There are many types of fillers that can be used for this purpose and all depends on a persons finances, long term goals, and needs based on an in person cosmetic consult.  Seek a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with expertise using all types of fillers including HA fillers, Sculptra, Radiesse, Silikon ect.  Although no a days there are many people injecting this products including nurses, PAs, noncore physicians, I would highly consider going to an expert in the field who is well versed in the up to date techniques.  I wish you the best of luck, Dr. Emer.

The critical element in facial shaping is having an artist's eye to recognize where fillers need to be placed to alter the shape of the face.  In some patients it is in the lower face where they might have an under developed jaw and chin, in others it is in the mid face where the cheek bone is not prominent.  In others where the forehead is too prominent fillers are place in the lower face for balance.  Usually heavier fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra or Voluma are used, and at least several syringes would be required to alter the shape of the face.

While the basic answer to this question is...yes.  You can shape faces with fillers.  That said, it is hard to give better advice without seeing you or seeing photos of you.  The cost depends on what type of filler you need and how much.  Again, photos will be helpful.
